ok well on thursday as you all know i went to my 37 week checkup and was found to be 3cm dialated... so afterwards we had stopped at red robin and had lunch. so when we got home i was starting to have some BH or so i thought... but they weren't regular anyways so on to friday i pretty much ignored them seeing as they really didnt bother me.. we took our youngest dog to the vet in the morning, and afterwards went for a 20min. walk in the park.. came home home and started getting a backache so i layed down while my fiance did the laundry he really has been sweet this whole time anyways later in the afternoon we went shopping at the mall, and got some subway there. at dinner i was still having backaches and when i went to the bathroom i had a little bit of really thick mucus with a little pink on it on the toilet paper. so i wiped again and got a ton more with more pink in it so i called the on call doctor and she said to go right to L&D so i did. apparently i had changed to 4cm dialated and was having contractions every 1-6mins but they werent being regular. so they had me walk around for an hour and see if anything changed. so after walking for an hour and my feet killing me they checked me again and i had changed to 5 cm dialated and still having irregular contractions at 1-6mins apart. so they had me stay in the hospital being monitored and said if nothing changed by tomorrow they were gonna break my water and start me on pitocin. so by saterday nothing had changed so when my OB came in she broke my water and then the pain started getting bad but bareable and then a few minutes later they started me on pitocin which really made those contractions hurt. bout 20 mins later i got the epidural and those things are like miracles. no pain after that. so after less than 30mins of pushing Amber Chloe made it into this world. weighing in at 6lbs. 10oz. and was 19.5 inches long. i ended up with a 2nd degree tear so yea i got some stitches and going to the potty (lol yea im already using that word) is painfull but to have amber its worth it. i am currently breastfeeding her too it not really hard to do b/c shes like a natural at it but i do worry constantly if shes eating enough but so far it seems like she is. i spent 3 days in the hospital andshe has a little bit of jaundice that they want to keep an eye on but she was allowed home.
