Well, I woke up around 3:15am to go pee. I had been feeling alot of pressure and contractions all day Monday. I had bloody show after using the bathroom. Contractions started soon after that and they were like 10 minutes apart. Around 4:00 am I woke up everyone and off we went to the hospital. By the time I got to the hospital, my contractions were 4 minutes apart. When the nurse checked me, I was 3 cm and 100% effaced with bulging water bag. I had tested positive for strep B, so she started the IV antibiotics. Bear in mind that the medicine has to be in your system for at least 4 hours for it to do its job. My doctor said that they usually break the water bag but she didn't want to because of the Strep B
Things went really fast from then on. At 5:30, I was 6 cm and I was complete at 8:30am. My waters broke by itself at this time and I started pushing.
Ashley Patricia was born at 8:44 am after 5 pushes. She is doing really well and we got home on Thursday. She is breasfeeding like a champ! I'm so in love!
