Ok, as you all know, I was being induced. So I'll start from there.
7:45 arrive at the hospital. I was still a tight 4 cm and 65% efaced. Nothing happens until 10:00 when the ob starts the pitocin. I was having pressure, but they were like mild period cramps. No biggie! My ob says we wait until 11:30 and see about breaking my water then getting me the epi. He then comes in and says the anesthesiologist says its better for him to come now rather than later. ROCK ON!!! So, at 11:00 I get my drugs, er, the epi! Mind you, my water still has not been broken. That happens about 1/2 hr later. At around 2:45 my ob and the 2 nurses come in my room, have a seat and we all start chit chatting. By this point I am just having anal pressure, but not bad AT ALL. (on a Scale of 0-9, i'd say 0 ) Well, 3:30 comes around, my ob checks me says I'm 10 cm and asks if on the next contraction would I like to push? Um, I guess I say. Two sets of pushes later @ 3:37, Maiti was here! I had 0 pain! It was awesome!!!!!! I couldn' t have had a better labor! Total time: 5 1/2 hrs. Not bad. It could have been shorter, but it could have been ALOT longer! So, with it being painless, It could have lasted all day for all I care! I was very lucky. I only wish a painfree labor for all of you. Whether you go natural or get the drugs!
I will post pics as soon as hubby puts them in the computer!
Edited to add I am STILL trying to figure out how to post the pic. Also I forgot to mention I had a 2nd degree tear where my original episi. was. Not that I felt them stitching me up!
