Hello all, my birth story won't be that interesting, I would have had a ton to tell with my first son, he was a longer labor and entered the world face up, but little Austin was cake!!!!!
We went in at 5:30 for the induction and they started me on Pitocin around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. We started having contraction, I asked them to go ahead and put in the epidural, but not give me any medication to it yet, so it would be over with, well I had to have it twice, it only worked on my right leg and not my left side, so they did it all again (not fun) so when all was finally working, they checked me a couple of times and I was 4 early on and then about an hour after the epidural, the dr came in to check me and I thought he would say oh you are at like 6 or 7 he said well you are at 10!!!!! And for about 1/2 hour to an hour and a 1/2 before that I was feeling all the contractions on my right side, not down my leg only in my pelvic region, and my dr said that you can have hot spots. So anyway, I was thinking oh my god, if I have to feel the contractions only if they were on the right side or not, they still hurt like hell for the next 3 or 4 hours, then I was not going to get through it, well I said I am having a contraction, and she said ok then we are going to push with this one, when I did, they said his head is crowning, I had another one like 30 sec later and they said push again and I heard them say, his head and shoulders were out, and then with the third contraction, he came out all the way, so yes ladies, three pushes and Austin was here!!!!!! I was so excited, with my first I pushed for alot longer and he wasn't turning, so I was soooooooooo swollen and sore down there, within an hour of having Austin, I was walking the halls, I am feeling and doing great and so is Austin!!!!
Congrats to all of us, and thanks for the well wishes early!!!! Click on my pics to see them larger!!!!!!
