I will start off by saying I never go into labor on my own. RJ was my 4th induced pregnancy (except for water breaking with my 1st with no contrax). I had a doctor apt on Tuesday the 22nd of aug 06 for one of my last doctor apointments ( I don't remember his exact due date ). I was still working and getting pretty fed up with work and the people there so I was hoping to give birth soon. Doctor checked me and asked if I would like to be induced the next day which I said yes of course. On the 23rd we went in at 7:00 and by 8:00 I had my iv in and pitocin started. Well labor was seemed like it was going at a constant pace so Rob (DH) went down to get some lunch at 10:45. I was only 4 cm so I thought everything would be ok. The dr was going to break my water after lunch. At 10:51 my water broke on it's own and I was 6 cm dialated. So I was yelling at my mom cuz she couldn't figure out how to use my cell phone to call Rob's cell phone. Finally he made it back up and RJ was born at 11:24. He was 8 lbs 3 oz 21 inches long. To me it was the most painful pushing I've had so far. Usually they say that pushing makes you feel better, that was not the case this time. I could actually not close my legs for about a week afterwards not to mention the lack of a #2. I didn't need any stitches or anything though so that was good.
