Okay so as most of you probably know I have been having some pretty painful cramping issues. This morning I had the lightest pinkish colored spot on my underwear and nearly lost it. I panicked! So my husband talked to the dr and other nurses at work and they all told him pretty much the same thing "oh that sounds bad" "that shouldn't be happening at all" "she needs to drink more water and it will go away" on so on. So of course I am in an extreme panic now!! He called my obgyn a few minutes ago and now I am on strict bed rest until my appointment on Monday @ 3 pm. So on the upside I get my appointment rescheduled from the 14th of May to the 30th of April. On the downside I'm super scared. It is going to be long weekend.

How scary! I do know both cramping and spotting are common early pg symptoms so this doesn't mean you are out. KUP.

Thanks! I'm really trying to think positive!

Also I just reread my post and it sounds like I said I nearly lost it as in I thought I lost the baby-- What I meant was I nearly lost it as in lost my mind!

I knew what you meant. I had quite a bit of cramping yesterday myself in the afternoon and it's so hard to not worry. I really hope you have a sticky bean.

It is hard not to worry. The dr said that if I don't cramp or spot anymore over the weekend to call and reschedule the appointment back to the 14th, but...... I really want a scan! Don't get me wrong I really hope that the scare was just a one time thing and I don't want to jinx myself. I know that I probably won't see much on the scan, but it will still be reassuring to know that it is ectopic or anything like that.

Shesh! I hope everything turns out for the best as I'm sure it will. I believe we are all gnawing at the bit to get to see the first pics of baby. I too have heard that cramping and spotting is fairly common, esp. this early on in pregnancy. Please listen to doctors orders and keep everyone posted through the weekend. Fingers Crossed.

Eek...I'm sure everything is fine but I don't blame you for being in panic mode. I would be too...

Hi there! I've been lurking as I'm only 7dpo, but I wanted to tell you that I had spotting the day I got my BFP with my daughter and the day after. I also had a little bit more at around 26 weeks. She's two years-old now so everything turned out okay. I just wanted to say that it is normal to spot in pregnancy, but I COMPLETELY understand being worried. I don't know how many calls I placed to my doctor's office when it happened to me. I wish you lots and lots of sticky dust!

Thank you so much for the reassurance everyone! I have been on the couch all day. Amazing how not being able to do housework makes you want to sweep the floor!
Michelle and Hapersmomma, thank you both so much for sharing your spotting incidences with me! It makes me feel better knowing that someone else went through it and everything turned out fine!

First of all, hugs! I know how stressful bleeding and cramping can be in pregnancy.

Second of all, try not to stress. Cramping and spotting are extremely common especially soon after implantation as your uterus begins to grow and your bean gets snuggled in tight. I had cramping and spotting with both previous pregnancies and cramps with this one as well (no spotting this go' round... yet). In fact, with my first, later in my pregnancy, I had episodes of full on bleeding, enough to soak a pad in less than an hour, but everything was fine and I delivered a healthy, chubby baby.

I know it's easier said than done, but try take comfort in knowing that what you're going through is really common.

KUP! Finger and toes crossed for you!

Brittney- Thank you so much for the encouragement!

Michelle- Well the cramping woke me up this morning and was pretty intense. However...no more spotting yet! I was so sure I would wake up to actual bleeding as much as I was cramping but my cm was clear- Thank god! I am scared to sneeze though. My allergies are acting up but I'm scared that if I sneeze my stomach muscles might contract too much and... well I don't know. Logically I know it sounds silly, but I'm not feeling very logical today.

I think we've all been cautious and thought "I'm acting crazy" so nothing sounds silly here. I stretched at my desk at work and I thought my stomach was going to come to life and punch me...it didn't feel very good, I didn't think at this early that I would feel anything, guess not!
