Have you told your DH/SO?

I couldn't help myself. I was expecting a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage, but hadn't had any bleeding. I took a test because I was so tired of waiting, but couldn't do anything about it, so why not take a test.

When it came back positive, I was so shocked I peed on 3 more tests and a digi, which said "Pregnant" in plain words.

DH was worried because I had been in the bathroom for 45 minutes, and when he knocked in the door to check on me, I just opened it and held up the digi. His face went like this:

Yep, DH was at home the morning I tested. He flat out thought I was lying and that we weren't pregnant because the positive line wasn't very dark.

I told him pregnant is pregnant and of course the line isn't going to be dark at 9 dpo.

This is the 2nd time we got pg on the first month of ttc.

Yes, it's our first so as soon as I saw the line I woke him up (it was 5am) and go "I bet you can see this one..." lol.

Not yet. Sometime this afternoon. I just peed right as he was leaving for work. I was just trying to decide how to tell him. It's a surprise, and it might take him some time to get used to it, so I don't want to run at him, jumping up and down, screaming. We also have the 2 wee ones and no room of our own. I don't want to just hand him the test, either. Man. I need to breathe. Hahahaha

Yes I told him the same morning. I was leaving out of town for my parents that morning and wanted him to be the first to know. Our life is really hectic right now so I woke him up and said things are about to get more hectic and showed him the test.

I told DH that morning. I got up at 6 AM and got my BFP and then went downstairs to take a picture of my BFP and to try to plan a cute way of telling DH, but DH woke up and asked what I was doing downstairs. I told him I was getting some cold water and he came downstairs so I hid the test and ran to the frig. He asked for some water too so I pulled out the champagne that was in the frig and told him here you go. He looked at me and said it was 6AM and I told him to drink up because I cant drink for a long time and then I pulled out the test He actually did make a mimosa for himself and put some OJ in a champagne glass and we toasted.

Awww. That's cute! More romantic than having to take the kids to McDonald's so they leave us alone long enough for me to tell Mark and them not hear. Or to say in the car, "Don't say anything and don't be mad," and just hand him the test. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yes, I told DH. I had pretty much thought I was "out" this cycle, and a few days ago I told him I was expecting my period any time. Well, AF never showed, so yesterday morning I took a test, and much to my disbelief, it was +!!! DH called moments after I took it, and asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch. Perfect!

So he sits down in the booth... I wanted to wait til AFTER he ate to tell him, but I couldnt contain myself. He was shocked and speechless for a few moments as he processed it... And I told him, greeeeat, now you're not going to eat lunch! And he said oh no trust me I'm going to eat! haha
He is excited... after all, we were TTC. Its just funny how differently men and women process it at first!

I wanted to wait and surprise him in some way, but I couldn't help it -- he was still home when I tested, and I showed it to him right away.

Yes, he was there when I took each of the 5 I ended up taking. Ive only told one friend. We've had a pretty rough period in our marriage so I dont want to announce it to everyone while I am still adjusting to the idea!

I first took a test when I realized I was a day late but had been 'not trying, not preventing' and expected it to be negative like every other time. When I saw 2 solid lines, I just kind of said to myself 'wait, what?'. I was in shock. My SO and I don't live together and he has 3 kids already aged 3, 7 snd 8... So it took 2 days before I told him. I was so nervous when I was at his house and he went to pee I sent him a pic of the positive test and said, 'we need to talk about this'. It took him awhile to come back upstairs and he kept asking if the pic was for real and I said it was. I said I was going to test again before calling the doc and asked if he wanted to be there... He said yes and another positive... Luckily he is excited and supportive but now we are moving a little faster than expected... He and the kids are going to move in at the end of summer until we can get our own place together.

We have had a long TTC road. We deal with the stress with humor most of the time. Our ongoing thing when I get a BFP is texting him with "I guess your sperm don't suck" When we started TTC Matthew we had two not great semen analysis... so since then it's been our "joke"

Not yet. We weren't trying, but we weren't preventing so this is not a complete surprise. I am a little nervous about telling him.

I wanted to wait and surprise my husband but I couldn't wait. When I got the first faintest line I showed it to him and asked if he could see it. Then I found out that the batch of tests I was using was giving false positives so I asked him to pee in a cup so I could test him to see if he was pregnant, haha.

Turns out he got a BFN and I peed on several other brands to confirm mine.

I only surprised my hubby with our second one. I peed on a digi in the morning, put the cap on and threw it in a box. On top of the test I layered tissue paper and things with "dad" word in them (Sugar Daddies, Soda Pop, Pop Tarts, Dad's Root Beer, etc.). I wrapped it and took him out for a lunch date.

I had him open it while I sneakily filmed. He was so confused until he got to the bottom of the box and saw the digi with the word "pregnant." He was shocked and excited! The reaction was so priceless!
