I know everyone says we can't be showing this early, but I swear I am. Everyone keeps saying it's gas, or bloating, but it never recedes. I generally have an extremely flat stomach so could that be why? Am I crazy? I can't accept that I've had a flat stomach my whole life (I'm 30) and I all of a sudden have a pouch, and it's not because of pregnancy. I'm due 7 Jan....

I neve say it's not possible! Everyone is different. It could be bloating because the baby is not actually taking up space yet, but it is pregnancy related!

I notice a difference already, but I recently was pregnant and I always measure ahead. This is my 12th pregnancy (4 living and two 2nd trimester losses, the rest were early losses) so I have a feeling my body just says GROW after being stretched 6 other times.

On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

I wonder if it's your progesterone levels making you bloat. That can make you look a lot bigger than you are.

I've noticed that my pants are already pretty uncomfortable. I know it has to be all bloatiness but it's definitely not something I can just "suck in" anymore!

Yeah, I know it's not actually the baby. Maybe a growing uterus or fluids, ect. It's not like other people can see it, but I can!

Bloating and gas are STILL pregnancy-related and that would TOTALLY count as showing!

I have the constant bloat too. I didn't with my first, did with my 2nd and do again this time. My pants are already starting to fit tight. I was in maternity pants at 6 weeks with my 2nd dd because they were a good 3 to 4 inches from buttoning at this point. It is not quite as bad this time around yet.

I feel like I am too! My pants are very uncomfortable, but I am sure mine is just bloat. I am ok in the am, but by dinner I am ready to get in comfy clothes.

I agree. This is my 5th pg and it just seems like the body knows what to do. Even if it s bloat, it's making it very difficult to keep secret!!!!

Seriously bloated here too. I was so gassy and bloated the other day that in combination with the skirt I was wearing I totally looked pregnant.

Thanks everyone! Glad to know it is not just wishful thinking! I haven't gained much weight (about 1lb) so it probably is just gas and bloating. I've changed my diet and added a lot of veggies and other things I'm not used to digesting. I'm usually a fast food and hamburger helper eater... going healthy is a good choice, but my digestion is having trouble adjusting to pregnancy plus that!

I had this conversation over the weekend with my husband. I couldn't find anything to fit right on Sunday and he told me it's not from the baby yet because I'm only 5 weeks. Hello it's my body I know it's changing! I had to unbutton the top button (there's 4) on my ABU pants and just wear the belt across the opening. I could leave them buttoned, but it's just uncomfortable.

im noticing a tiny bump where my uterus is....its not a bump, but it is bigger than normal. i had gastric bypass, i was a size 24 with my son, and now i am a size 6...! i have a lot of skin on my tummy, but when i like make it flat (you know what i mean?) i can see some change. i did this with my miscarriage too...i think it is just bloat and my body preparing. no one else would be able to tell, but i do. its neat because i never could see the change with my son.
