Just received a call from my physician's assistant telling me they want me on Progesterone ASAP. They are going to call around to see which pharmacies in my area have them (vaginal suppositories, 200mg) and then give me a call back once they get one set up. Hopefully it's the Rite-Aid I always go to.

Anyone use the suppositories before? Should I wear panty liners to bed?

That's good. My only peeve now is the only pharmacy that makes them is in Smyrna (about 23 minutes away which isn't bad). They have to compound them so they should be ready tomorrow. Unfortunately, we now have to pay out of pocket for them since Walgreens doesn't take Tricare anymore. About $62-64 a month for this script.

My husband isn't going to be very happy about it, but I sent him an email saying "What's more important, a healthy baby or $62 dollars a month?".

The cost of the script will well be worth it if it results in a healthy baby. $62 will about cover diapers a month once the baby arrives so it will get that expense added to your budget early.

Mine wasn't covered either and it was $96 a month. I opted for the oral for $3 a month... I have always responded well to it in the past. I think you can try and get it covered by your doc filling out forms for insurance. Only a few pharmacies here compound too. I bet they can get it to you today if you call and ask for it sooner. Might be worth looking into.

Did you call them or did they call you? Just curious LOL

So worth the money! I'm glad that your doc finally called it in. I think that you'll rest a bit better now.
