I woke up around 3am with pains in my stomach. Was so sure I would find bleeding but when I wiped there was nothing; coughed it up to just having to pee but idk. Obviously had a fitful night's sleep, still no bleeding but I just don't feel right. I feel less pregnant if that makes any sense. The cramps feel different and I don't feel bloated (but then again I did finally poop after some constipation this am-TMI I know). Is it possible to have symptoms seemingly go away or change and go on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I don't want to test again and freak myself out because I have to attempt to get through work today-I'm just so afraid I'm going to start bleeding there

YES! At this stage, the symptoms come and go pretty frequently. They may go away altogether until week 6 or 7. Many women have no symptoms at all until then. If you're not bleeding, that's a great sign! If you have the chance to take it easy today, take it. When do you go to your doc for your beta draws, or do you?

It's terrifying, I know. Skipping ahead to week 7 when we can see our wee ones' heartbeats wouldn't be the worst thing ever, would it?

By the way, I had sharp pains every time I had to pee or poop. It scared the bejeezus out of me!

Thanks for the words of advice, I really appreciate it. It really does help to hear other women's stories to let me know that what I am feeling is not out of the norm. That's not to say that I might not M/C, but I am trying to remind myself to calm down, take a deep breath, and realize that there is no reason to think I am anything but pregnant at the moment.

I go to the Doctor's tomorrow for a sort of pre prenatal visit. They agreed to see me before 6 weeks because of my previous M/C. Not entirely sure what they will do when I'm there. We may just chat or they may do bloodwork. It's up to the Dr. I know I can't get my hopes up but I hope I get something that helps allay my fears.

Unfortunately I have to work today, but maybe it will be a good distraction. I've been near tears over this since I woke up so maybe work will be a welcomed relief.

Oh, sweetie. I TOTALLY understand! I hope that you make it through work today relatively unscathed. Again, cramping and pain can be totally normal for early pregnancy, and those pains are heightened with all the other stuff going on down there. I hope that you have no more scares today.

Since you had a miscarriage before, can you ask your doctor to do betas, regardless of what their policy is? It might ease your mind. Or, if you're like me, it might just give you more Googling fodder to make yourself insane.

Hugs! Here's hoping that tomorrow comes quickly!

haha oh you know me way too well! I have to pry myself away from Google and micromanaging every little symptom I feel! I'm just proud of myself for refusing to POAS again and potentially just freak myself out even more! (Knowing me if the line isn't the perfect pink of my original I will go into a tizzy).

I think I may ask the Dr. about doing the Betas. It's a new place that I am going to, but the receptionist was really sweet so I have good feelings about this place. Plus they were willing to accommodate me and take me early because of the M/C and my new potentially mommie fears, so maybe they will do the bloodwork as well. I'll definitely ask though!

Heaven forbid that the lines aren't 100% perfect! I haven't POAS since the first positive! I know me well enough to know that that is a very, very bad idea!

I hope that the new doctor is able to do something to make you feel better. Having kind and considerate people to help you through pregnancy is KEY!

Yeah I need all the support I can get right now.

I know this is bad, and I'm trying not to let it freak me out because it's a horrible selfish way to think, but on Mother's Day my SIL is announcing her pregnancy to my DH parents and I just don't know I am going to handle an M/C and that.

I KNOW bad thinking! But that is this one fear in the back of my mind that I am trying to squelch because I am happy for her and she deserves this after over a year of trying, I guess I'm just a little selfish and scared for me :/

Symptoms definitely change. I woke up with a sharp pain like that with my daughter. I thought for SURE I was miscarrying. It hurt so bad. Turns out it was just a gas bubble pushing past a very tender uterus. And then the cramping stopped, and I thought...did something happen? But then the fatigue and morning sickness came. Things definitely change over time, but it's hard not to overanalyze.

You're so right. I was literally crying in the car on the way to work because I had a somewhat sharp pain, but now it is gone and I just have some light cramping. It's like it never happened.

I really hope this was just a fluke.

Thank you ladies for being so supportive though. I know my posts probably get annoying, I guess I was more affected by my M/C in Jan than I thought.

Sharp pains are very normal. I had them with all of my pregnacies. Your posts are not anywhere near annoying, that is what we are hear for to help each other. The first trimester is so scary exspecially for someone who has experienced a loss.

Thanks I'm just really scared.

So far no bleeding and the cramps feel a bit more normal now. I think I'm just nervous also for my pre Dr's visit tomorrow and obviously my previous M/C is freaking me out. Hopefully everything is fine and no bleeding so I guess that's as good a sign as any!

I agree. There is a wide range of normal for a healthy pregnancy. I never had cramps in the first trimester with my first, but had morning sickness from about 4 weeks on. I had lost 5 pounds by week six.

With my second, I had TONS of cramping in the first few weeks, but the morning sickness didn't start up until week 8 and even then was really mild.

I know it's so hard not to overanalyze every little ache and pain, but aches and pains are totally normal. I would definitely ask for a beta test, just to help put your mind at ease. Hang there and KUP on how you're feeling.

They definitely come and go! There have been times I haven't felt pregnant at all! Try to relax, I just had off and on symptoms. The m/s has even been off and on since this weekend. Yesterday afternoon I felt great and got worried, then I puked last night and oddly felt good about it. This pregnancy things makes us all borderline straightjacket worthy!

I think I am going to ask my Dr. about a Beta test just to put my mind at ease a bit. I'm really not sure what to expect from this visit since it really is just a pre prenatal appointment since they normally don't take people till 6 weeks and I am roughly 5 weeks on Sat.

Getting through this day and not tossing and turning about tonight is going to be rough!

We all deserve a party if our sanity remains intact through the first trimester!

You really only need to worry about the pains if they're NOT in your uterus (your kidney, etc.), are constant and all over, and if you're bleeding. But it doesn't matter what we tell you; you're going to worry, anyway. I certainly do!

I hope that the appointment tomorrow puts you at ease.

See that's the thing, I can't classify the pain! Is it a tugging? Is it just congestion down there because of all that is going on? Is it cramping? It's all so confusing!

I pretty consistently feel something down in that area, even if it doesn't hurt, it's like something heavy or idk but something is there and I can feel it!

I think that that sounds pretty normal! I hope that it's a good sign of baby growing, growing, growing!
