Once you hit a point in HCG a "hook effect" starts where the test line becomes light again. It happened to me last pregnany and I freaked out. Everything was fine... If you are bored, google it Kinda interesting!

On 1/31/12 at exactly 16 weeks pregnant Noah came too soon. He was our 7th loss

There is no known explanation for my losses.

My doctor told me the same thing tuesday. She told me to quit peeing on sticks because eventually it gets lighter and will cause unneeded stress.

Wow! That is interesting! I had never heard of that before! Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Just for the record, I am done testing with HPTs. I used up my stash and then some, but I'm feeling pretty convinced that I'm actually pregnant now!

That happened to me last time. I test and it was lighter so added half water half urine and used the next test and it was tons darker

thank you for this. i thought it happened, but i wasnt sure.....i bought some tests tonight....my line is still dark....i think im going to have hubby hide the rest (he is 6'5 so he puts things up high so i can't reach) hahaha
