I see a few of us mommas are having a hard time staying hydrated. One thing I've learned from being pregnant now six times is that the more hydrated I am the less I feel sick. I forget exactly how much water is recommended we take in while pregnant but this might help some of us who have a hard time drinking water. I tried it last week and found it silly that I was so giddy when I got to each 'finish line.' I felt so accomplished when I got done with both bottles at the end of the day at the right time. Definitely a great way to keep water in my system...thought I would share!
I've seen similar things like this before, this is a great idea. I wish I liked plain water, but I just don't! I drink a decent amount of fluids throughout the day, mostly carbonated water with a little flavor, some gatorade, lemonade, and on rare, rare occasion, a caffeine free coke.
But I should really do this anyway, it's a great idea, and I have plenty of water bottles to spare!
Yep, that's basically what I do...but right now, seltzer water seems to have a calming effect on my tummy, so i'm sticking with that! I also love cucumber water! Sounds nuts, but its really, really deelish!
I keep meaning to try cucumber water. How do you make yours?
Oh mint water is really good too! I've tried the store bought mint water before and it was gross, but a couple mint sprigs from the neighbors garden sure are yummy!

I just float some thin cucumber slices in a jug of water and keep it in the fridge. I really want to make cucumber (or lemon or lime) ice cubes though. Freezing a small wedge of any of those things in an ice cube, then just float the cube in a glass of water and presto!
Cool tip! I may get crafty tonight with one of my wat bottles. My queasiness has not eased up and I'm sure it has something to do with being hydrated. Even the thought of water makes my stomach turn at times, which is so unlike me.
I used to be a huge soda drinker... When I found out I was preggo I switched to caffeine free, but I actually crave water. BUT... I love lemon water. I will drink plain bottled water, but really like the lemon wedges in it. I will have to try the lime too.
One of the doctors in my office makes lemonade with ice and mint. She loves it.
Thanks for the reminder! I need to drink more water. I have one of those Starbucks water bottles that keeps your drink cold for a long time. I 'm pretty good about drinking it if I fill it up.
The water where we live tastes funny, so I've had to buy bottled water (which I hate doing). I still can't stomach plan water, and adding fresh fruit or cucumber to it is just dreadful to me right now. Plus, I don't have a refrigerator to store that in. SO I've been buying Hawaiian Punch Green Berry Blast or something like that. I know. It's not the very best, but I only put enough of the package in there to flavor the water. One little pack lasts for a few bottles. I drink SO much more water this way, so I think that the extra artificial sweetener, etc. is worth it. Really, SO much more water! And I definitely feel better when I've had something to drink and can keep it down!
