I hurried and bent down and was like "are you going to get sick" and he shook his head and said "i think so" I felt soo bad...I started to run him back to the bathrooms, we got by the pet department and i could just tell by looking at him there was no way we were going to make it.....I looked around and saw kitty litter boxes...of course I grab the expensive one that sifts...but beside the point...Xavier pukes in it. Andrew is like yelling at me "what are you going to do with that now" I was like "your son is sick and you care about what i am going to do with that, i am going to do what anyone else would do.....LEAVE IT.
Girls, I sat it on the floor and left it there. If the box was a cheapo one, I would of cleaned it out and bought it because my cats could use a new little box...but $20...I don't think so. (lol) I was just proud I had the reaction time and honestly avoided a MESSY situation.
SO now Xavier is here laying on a "bed" on the couch watching spiderman sipping on ginger ale. I just feel soo bad for this little man.
Question....was I wrong for leaving the puke? Now I feel kinda bad!

I'm sorry to hear Xavier isn't feeling well!! I hope he feels better soon.
Regarding the vomit...no, it shouldn't have been just left. If you notify the store they could've dealt with it appropriately. Body fluids are a bio-hazard, what was left behind was a public health risk.
I was never too happy when a drunk puked in the back of my car and I was forced to hose it out once the idiot was dropped off at the jail. Then I had the enjoyment of having to cover the car in disinfectant to remove any risk of me being sick or some other individual becoming ill when they were in the back of the car.
The litter box would've been disposed of properly and the store would've had to write it off as a loss, which is unfortunate. Should an event like that arise again, please notify someone in the store so they can clean up the mess and prevent a potential virus/infection from being spread. They won't be happy about it, but it is much better than the alternative. What if a child were to come upon it and end up putting their hand or another object in it and then make contact with their mouth? That could cause another child to become very ill.
Hopefully your little guy is feeling better with the ginger ale in his tummy and is able to rebound quickly. Just keep him hydrated and comfy.
