I honestly feel lucky that I stumbled upon this website. I am a first timer and don't have any close friends that are pregnant. (Well one friend thats about 8 months pregnant but she is always MIA). When I first told her I was on this site she strongly suggested against it because I was going to hear all about these symptoms and other things that weren't true, or weren't "helpful" but I insisted it was a good way of being "in the know" of what was going to be happening to me and my body...and I was right!

I love that I learn about what is "supposed" to happen, what could happen (like m/s starting at 6 weeks, which thankfully didn't happen to me) and all of the other funny, interesting and T.M.I. postings I feel privleged to be involved in such a great group of women and feel like I have someone....a bunch of "someones" to share everything with.

I also share a lot of these posts with my husband and just feel like this website has been a great guide for both of us. So again THANK YOU...to everyone on here...

I am so glad you feel that way! JM has been a big part of my life the past 3 years. I've taken some time away now and again, but during my long TTC journey, my JM friends were a lifesaver! There are a lot of boards out there, and I've heard mixed reviews on others, but rarely do you hear a bad thing about JM!

I feel the same way! Even tho Im really new on here I already feel like a part of the group and have learned alot. I no longer feel so alone. Being on bed rest, browsing through this site helps keep my mind off things and keeps my spirts up.

Awww <3 when I was a ftm I found a mommy board and it helped me so much!! Most of us are still friends 7 years later and speak daily on our fb page. I hope we are all able to form close bond here as well!

I completely agree! Being stationed overseas with my husband right now, it's hard to make friends, and even harder to make pregnant friends. So having a group of pregnant friends helps sooo much. I love it here!

I totally agree! I was on a due date club with both of my other kids, and I now have some very good friends (6 years later) who I keep in daily contact with through FB. Some of us even meet up periodically.

I love these boards! People to chat with, commiserate with, laugh with, worry with, etc. And I can't wait until it's time for babies to start arriving, that is always sooo exciting as we wait for news from each other. I don't know what I'd do without a board like this!!!

I so agree! It's so nice to have this board to check daily, to see if others are experiencing similar things, etc. I CAN NOT imagine being pregnant pre-internet! Honestly, the isolation factor must have been much worse!

This totally made me smile!! I think our board is really well rounded with older mommies, younger mommies, first time mommies and BTDT mommies. I really enjoyed being a part of DDC with my first pregnancy even though I didn't really post a lot I read tons of posts and got tons of great information! I hope you continue to enjoy this time we have in the DDC and hopefully everyone will stick around here and there for the Playroom!

Glad you are so happy here It's great to have a support group with a common interest.
I first came here when we were TTC DD. Nome of my friends IRL had kids yet, so it was wonderful to find other women who were experiencing the same things as I was. The group from my daughters playroom has pretty much migrated over to Facebook, but we are in daily contact and I have I've made some lifelong friends. I have even traveled to meet some if them IRL!
Ohhh, and I too totally talk about JM to DH all the time. He probably tunes me out, which is ok because I tune him out when he talks about cars. But I knw he is glad I've found such a great support group of mommy friends
