Ouch! Mine felt like that very early on, like 5-6 weeks, but luckily, my bbs haven't been terribly bothersome much lately....as long as I sleep in a sports bra

I'm the same way. I HAVE to sleep in a sports bra, otherwise Mama Bear is grumpy.

It is possible it could be the start of an over growth of yeast. You can try some OTC stuff by adding more probiotic yogurts in your diet, taking some AZO supplements, and cutting back on sugar as much as possible.

Mine hurt regularly but I don't know if it is burning. Hurts real bad though! Also, just as an overshare (don't worry, I left this off facebook ) when I went to take my shower today one side had nipple crusties. Eww.

Are probiotic yogurts the same as regular yogurt?

Is there a visual sign if there of an over growth of yeast?

Wow...I don't know what would cause that. You'd have to call your Doctor.

I can rightly say, I haven't had ANY problems. Other than everything being sore the first trimester, I have had no issues at all like this (so far). *crosses fingers*

I have issues and "crusties" too...I thought it may be yeast but it must be pregnancy related if so many others have it too.

Is the crustie issue really due to too much yeast..I've gotten that before I was pregnant too..I always thought it was just a way of the milk ducts cleaning themselves, but now that i've been pregnant I see a lot more of this white stuff, I wouldn't call it crusty it's pretty soft

There can be visual signs, especially if one is nursing. But you can still get itchy, sore, burning nipples with yeast. Regular yogurt has some probiotics but not like the good stuff. Activia, or better yet, if you have a HFS coconut milk based yogurt is really good.

You can even boost yourself with straight Acidophilus. It really helps to fight yeast as well. Lactobacillus acidophilus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
