Of all the things that are to be annoyed about with our DH'/SO's I suppose I'm lucky, by this is driving me up the wall... every time I have a new pregnancy complaint, the husband it miraculously having the same symptom, only much, much worse, I couldn't possible understand.

When I had morning sickness (none for 5 whole days now, hope thats over!!!) DH ate something awful, horrible, and obviously had food poisoning. (funny how he never threw up)

When brushing my teeth made me sick, DH has had that happen to him for yeeearsss, he can commiserate, of course.

When I can't sleep for more than 2-3 hour clips, DH says he can't sleep for more than 1-2 hour clips.

When I wake up every 45 minutes to pee, he wakes up every 30 minutes to poop (JK on that one, I'm having fun here, the rest are true though)

And the kicker... I swear I am not making this up... I was complaining that my nipples were sore and kind of burny... DH said he rubbed his nipples SO HARD at work through a sweaty T shirt that his nipples were on FIRE. Really? REALLY??!!??

I've heard of sympathy pains, but I am starting to think my husband has been impregnated by an alien.

Heehee, when I first started reading this, I was going to mention a chapter in my Daddy to Be book about "sympathy pains"....but then I read further, and I think he has an alien inside

OMG, yeah, your DH is worse than mine for sure! I was annoyed enough that he kept trying to take naps while I was dealing with a double whammy of early pregnancy exhaustion, and whacked out thyroid exhaustion.

Lord have mercy this this is a hoot. I think he may just want to feel included in the baby baking process.

It sounds to me as if he is feeling 'left out' in the process. Maybe you should discuss the issue with him an reiterate that making oneself sick by food poisoning is not only dangerous, it is not normal behavior and (depending on the bacteria) can be very harmful or fatal. It is also harmful to rub ones nipples to the point the skin is harmed (as this can open up one to infection). These are not acts of sympathy, theae are signs of someone cryin out for help/attention. If you don't see an improvement, maybe it's time for him to speak to a doctor.

Haha maybe you should bring it at your next doctor's appointment! When they ask if you have any questions, ask if pregnancy is contagious.
