I'm sitting here waiting for my second try at my nt scan and I'm freaking myself out that the worst is going to happen. My hubby couldn't get off of work and I'm here by myself and I'm realize just how much he calms my crazy down!!


Update:
So this appointment was total opposite of the attempted NT Scan fail from last week. Last week Spike wouldn't move and appeared to be napping. I have to be honest, it kind of scared me and if it moved that little this week i would have been TOTALLY freaked out. But instead Spike was a crazy baby!!! They were having a hard time getting the measurements this week because the baby wouldn't quit moving!!

They got some measurements they liked, which kind of freaked me out because i knew they were higher, but then the tech explained to me that they numbers that everybody reads about are on a 12 week average and i'm at 14 weeks, so i shouldn't panic. The doctor needs to review the scans and my bloodwork, and then they either send me a letter if it's good news or they call me if it's bad. So really i still don't have any answers and have to wait some more!

Here's some of the pictures they gave me. No full body shots this week. In this picture Spike is sucking it's thumb, which seems to be it's most favorite past time.

I haven't gotten the results back but I'm already a million times more relieved that spike was moving around a ton. Total opposite from the attempted nt scan last week!! Spike was moving around so much this time that they yet again were having a hard time getting measurements.

Now I'm just sitting here waiting for the doctor to review the ultrasound. Fingers crossed that goes ok...

It's the nuchal translucency scan, which tests for chromosomal defects between 12 & 14 weeks.
