Are there certain physical or personality traits of yours or DH's that you hope your baby inherits?

Any traits you DON'T want to be passed along to baby?

DH has big beautiful brown eyes with LONG eyelashes. DS inherited them and I hope this baby does too. No matter what our kids will have large eyes (everyone in both are families do) but I really love DH's eyelashes and eye shape...

side note: boys always get the best eyes. It is so not fair because they couldnt care less lol beautiful eyes should be reserved for girls hehe

Well appearance it will always be DH, as he's dominant. However I wish my kids would have inherited MY dental health. DH's is horrible and they all seem to have HORRIBLE teeth. My teeth have always been perfect with very little maintenance, not even braces and orthodontists are amazed I've never had them!

I also TRULY hope my girls inherit MY fertility & birthing gene. My sister's and I inherited my mother's gene and we all birth easily and fast. I want that for my girls too. My MIL had trouble keeping pregnancies.

Well to be honest I hope this baby gets nothing from his dad. He is not a good person in any way and not much to look at either. Def not who I would have picked to have a baby with but God had other plans and it was meant to be. Who am I to argue? DD looks EXACTLY like me and has almost all my features except her lips are her dads. She has my exact personailty too so Im thinking I must have pretty strong genes. Honestly even if this baby comes out looking just like his dad tho I wont care or prob even notice. I already love him more then the world! Im just hoping hes healthy. His dads other kids all have red hair so it Im kinda hoping he might get the red hair with my blue eyes. Thatd be super cute.

I really want the little boo to get DH's eye color. He has the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. Other than that, as long as baby is healthy, I have no special requests.

I hope the baby gets my teeth as well..DH grinds his teeth, still has a baby tooth because there was no adult tooth under it, and in general has tiny teeth. But when it comes to eye lashes I hope they get DH's..he has long beautiful eyelashes. I have very very curly hair and I don't want my to pass that down to my children because it wasn't easy taking care of and I still fight to get a brush through it but I think the curls are dominant..hello detangler

My husband has the most gorgeous rusty red hair. I really hope LO inherits it, but probably not... My mom's side of the family has EXTREMELY dominant genes, her, my sister and I, my uncles, and my cousins all look the same... dark brown hair, big brown eyes, big pointy noses, and small frames. Sure, we're a great looking bunch, but that red hair DH has is the kind that millions of women throughout the world try to bottle.

In all honesty, a bad combination of the wrong parts of me and DH could create a pretty weird looking kid.

If I could pick things: DH has awesome lips, cheek bones and a nice jaw line, which the kid would do better with. Throw in my baby blues with my hair color but a touch of that curly wave that DH has (my hair is flat, flat flat) and that would be a really cute little kid.

DH complains about his butt being too big and his torso being too small. I honestly don't see it as such an issue, but since it bothers him I guess I wouldn't wish it on a kid.

But I really hope that the kid gets his sense of coordination and natural grace on his feet. I've known worse, but I'm not exactly an elegant mover.

The kid needs my math skills though.

I hope hope HOPE Scooter has DH's hair! He has the most gorgeous hair! It's super dark brown, long (past shoulders, but if straightened, it's middle of back, easily), and perfect RINGLETS! I love his hair.

DH is also more easy going than me...I hope Scooter gets that. We both love math, so that would be a good one too

Does anyone know the chances on a blonde and a brunette making a blonde baby? My guess is pretty slim!!
As far as looks go, i hope the baby has blonde hair so he/she feels close to their step sissy and bro. They are both blonde .
Eyes...we both have light eyes so either color would be awesome...

As far as personality, a perfect combination of me and him would be great. He is more high energy and I am more relaxed, so in between would be perfect!

Well, I seem to have the very dominant genes-from my mom. We have adorable children who all have mostly my family's traits. My son and yougest daughter got DH's gorgeous eyelashes, which I would love the baby to have. Oldest DD and DS are towheads like DH was as a child, and youngest DD is strawberry blonde luike me. Both are cute, but maybe another strawberry so she's not alone. My son has absolutely adorable dimples which I hope the baby has, and he also has my cleft chin (deeper than mine) which is nice.I really would like a calm, easy-going child like I was...our youngest is a go-getter like no other. Love her sooo much, but I'm tired!!

My hubby and I both have dark brown hair and our daughter has blonde hair. Dirty blonde, but blonde nonetheless. I think my hubby may have had blondish hair when he was small though, so hers may darken as she grows.

I have to get my siggy back up because I'm assuming this baby will look a lot like my DD.
DH and I have similar features so I'd be shocked if baby has anything other than blonde hair/blue eyes.
My daughter is very petite, which I don't mind for a girl but if I have a son, I hope he inherits DH's height (he is 6'5" on a short day) and his athletic ability.
DD is pretty easy going, almost always happy, which she probably gets from both of us. She can be a little bossy like me though
She also has DH's goofy sense of humor.
If you can't tell since this is all about my DD, I still really haven't wrapped my head around the fact that I will be having another child.

I hope my baby gets a penis just like my DH's. Just saying. ha.

I am good with whatever my baby looks like. One of our girls looks just like my DH and the other looks just like DH's dad, so, my guess is the baby will look like DH's side of the family too.
Lyndsey2013 and Maddsmom like this.

I am going to assume this boy with look very similar to my husband. I find my daughter looks nothing like me, as I have said from the beginning. I hope DH passes his blue eyes and lighter hair color. The only thing I wish Madison got as well as this baby boy is my skin tone. I am olive whereas my husband has lighter skin tones. Either way I know the baby will be beautiful in my eyes and it will be instantaneous love.

Our kids will always start off with blue eyes and then they'll turn green. Just the way the genetics are. Our daughter's hair is right in between ours -- mine is strawberry blonde and his is dark brown, and hers is auburn. I would expect something similar next time, but who knows! I'm happy with any.

Personality-wise, I hope the baby is happy like DH was as a baby but easy like I was

His curly hair, strong teeth, and webbed toes. Yep, we're hoping g for a baby with a defect, lol. I think it's a cool one, and it was useful for dh when he was a swimmer :-)
