"removed name" They are both family names and I love the idea but not sure if it sounds too "country"?

I like it, but it does conjure some Ellie Mae connotations. I think it's really cute, though. Is Sue short for something in the family name it refers to?

I love the name! Its a great combination. I think it sounds a bit southern, but not country, if that makes sense.

I think it's cute too. I also think it does sound a bit southern but it's adorable.

Thanks ladies! DH and I have been leaning that way. Emma is my mom and grandmother's name and Sue (not short for anything) is DH's mom's name. I can't toss it around with anyone I know in real life because we have decided to keep the name to ourselves until her bday when we can introduce her to everyone.

I think it's cute! I love the name Emma! I agree it does sound Southern, but not too country. I like it! Plus, I love that the names have meaning. Our kids middles names are all family names.

Country sounding or not it's a cute name with meaning. I say go for it if you both like it.

I like it and I do not think its too country. And this is coming from a girl who changed her name from Lee Ann to Lee at 14 because she thought that sounded too "country".

It's really cute! I like a good southern name though. Emma Sue and Emma Susanne are so very sweet sounding. I'm loving the name Sarah Louise (Sarah Lou!)...also quite southern/country!!
