I applied for a full time job in the ER (I currently work in acute care)! It's the midnight shift, 10p-6a. I love that shift and realy hoe I get the job. I've been talking to the gal in medical records who is over this position and she said it was okay that I'm expecting....guess we will discuss that today. My interview is at 5 (she usually leaves at 4 but was willing to stay until five so I could come to the interview before my shift starts tonight!). I will be sure to check back in and let y'all know how it went! I'm so nervous!!
**UPDATE**
Well the interview was short and sweet. I was worried that with me being pregnant I wouldn't be guaranteed my spot back after maternity leave if my one year starts over...she said she had no problem holding my spot for me until I return. She's currently holding the afternoon girls spot right now while she is on maternity leave. She said that several people have asked her if she was going to hire me...I told two people I had applied and that was it! She smiled when she said that so I'm guessing that was a good thing. So basically I unofficially have the position but she has to run it by the gal in HR. Should be getting an email in the next day or two. I'm trying not to get too excited or nervous until I hear the final word.
I haven't worked full time since 2004! I'm so hesitant about not being with my babies (one will be in kindergarten) during the day all the time. Not used to sharing them!! Dh will be home with them at night, i'll be home to drive the oldest to school, take two to the sitters, and pick him up from school then the sitters.
Woke up this morning and I'm so not feeling it. The final decision is made by one girl in human resources and she's been known to be a you-know-what. I can see her saying no just because I'm pregnant.
Prayers & positive thoughts my way!
