We'll probably tell our parents right away, but I have a friend who is a photographer and I won a gender reveal photo shoot on her website. So she is going to do this type of shoot (see link below) after we get out of the ultrasound. I can't wait!
I just shared that gender reveal photo session link with my sister, now she's freaking out wanting to do that for us! I'm not sure I could walk away from an ultrasound even for a couple hours not knowing!!
Well, we find out on the 13th. The moving truck is being picked up on the 15th, and we start our drive on the 16th. We don't have time to be creative. Oh, well. We'll just announce, I think!
I posted a pic on here under a thread when I revealed the gender, I just put on a gender specific shirt, put the Scrabble letters spelling out 'girl" in my hand, and my husband took a pic of my standing sideways so that all you see is my belly and the hand holding the Scrabble letters.
I got the idea off of Pinterest, a great place for finding stuff like that! I'm not too crafty, I would like to be but really just am not, but this was easy enough and people got a kick out of it.
I would love to do something cute with the kids, like photograph/video them finding out in some neat way like opening a big box of either pink or blue balloons, but they'll likely be at the u/s with us so I probably won't be able to do that. Hmm I'll have to think about it.
I would love some ideas. Our family is all far away, but my mom and close aunt are arriving for a short visit on the day we hope to find out gender! I thought of making a cake for dessert, with pink or blue frosting in the middle, but am so open to other ideas!
