My hubby just got off the phone with his grandparents. When he told them we are having 3 more girls the grandparents started yelling at him. Yes we wanted boys but we are so happy about having girls and they are very helthy. On top of that the grandma started crying and said she will pray that the ultrasound tech was wrong. I just wish people will be happy that we are having helthy babies not ***** that they a girls.

Sorry about that. I needed to get it off my chest

Ugh that's discouraging. It's not like you had a choice. If anything they should yell at your DH, his sperm had the X chromosome!

Sorry that you're dealing with that kind of junk :/

OH MY GOSH HOW MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man...I would want to throttle 'grandma' right in her brain holder (assuming she has one after that remark) and into a wall for that comment. What a terrible thing to say!!!!!!

We're happy for you!!! I think it's awesome you're having three girls and we hope they're happy and healthy! Some people's kids, I tell ya...

I'm jealous of the multiples! I'd be thrilled if one of my kids told me they were having twins or triplets. I think it's awesome!

But I think my parents cried each time I had another baby after my 2nd. I don't think my mother took me seriously when I told her in 7th grade that I wanted 4-6 kids and she laughed at me and said that she didn't think I could handle more than 1 . . . 2 tops! {{{sigh}}} Now I have the most kids out of all my siblings and I call on her for the least amount of advice.

Any ways. Screw them - you have plenty of friends and support that are thrilled for you and excited about your new baby girls! Identical triplets! It's RARE! What a blessing and a miracle! And I don't say that often!

Seriously!!???? Wow that is unbelievable!!! I don't get how people can be that way. Healthy is the only thing that is important...sure we all have our "we'd like to have a..." but as long as our babies are healthy that is all that matters!

I've been there. And I have a feeling that we're about to go through it again.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby girls! Those people better straighten up before the babies are born, or they're going to miss out on a pretty amazing experience!

Seriously, it goes to show how immature our "elders" can be. They grew up in a different time and I THANK MY LUCKY STARS that I did not grow up then. How unbelievably rude!!! Goes to show you what growing up in the dark ages can do to a person. Not to be rude myself, but I've often thought and wondered about why grandparents are so close-minded (not all, but alot). I credit it to a lack of communication and knowledge back then. We now have the internet, facts upon facts and research studies upon studies available at our fingertips. But back then people learned all that they knew from a handful of people only and had NO way to back up their ideas. They learned from their parents, and their teachers. They had to just believe it. That includes prejudices, biases, and ignorances.

I thank god I live in the golden age of information and communication.

Know that YOU and your family are the bigger people and let them throw their ignorant, immature, old-people tantrum. UGGHHHHH!

YELLING at him? As if, during conception you pushed the wrong button or something and decided to have girls? As if girls are a burden? I find this absolutely infuriating.

Your girls are going to be awesome.

Grrr! People! Why does she think she has the right to say anything about the babies genders?? As long as the babies are healthy and you are happy, that is what matters!! My parents are older- 70ish- and they ALWAYS are happy if I am and keep their negative feelings to themselves.

Sorry you had to go through that and CONGRATULATIONS again on your girls!

What the heck?! Ridiculous is not even the word.
First of all I haven't been on since the morning so I didn't see you were having 3 girls- congrats!!!!
Secondly... I don't know why someone would be disappointed. So not cool and pretty darn unsupportive.

Lurking from the Feb DDC, first off CONGRATULATIONS!!! Seriously that is amazing!! You should take those girls to hollywood!!! 3 identical girls are rare, and you are blessed to have them, what an amazing gift from God. I have no words for your DH's grandmother, I just have pity on her, thats it. WooHoo 3 beautiful girls!!!!! YAY!!!!!

That was rude, irrational and jusy plain stupid. I'm sorry don't mean to disrespect elders. How many people can say they are having identical triplets I think that awesome. Congratulations
