The baby is ok, but it was really scary.... I started bleeding heavily at a restaurant after dinner... I'm out of town. Called my on call OB service and they wanted me to go into the ER to be seen. Soooo we did.... They did blood test, cathed me for urine sample, and did a pelvic exam.... That included me inclined on an upside down bedpan. The nurse practitioner doing the exam kept asking for more things and they ran out of and then he asked the nurse to go get him some forceps. (idk *** he was talking about, I asked him if he meant the kind that you pull a baby out with. He said he wasn't pulling anything out. He was very good at side stepping my questions.) He was trying to clean the blood up on the inside so he could see my cervix.... He was gushing out audibly. He finally got it cleaned up and said my "OS was closed" when they had me move back there was like a dinner plate sized blood area on the sheet, soaked through and had to remake the bed. I was freaking the *** out at point on the inside.

Cut to the u/s- I saw baby moving, waving, kicking... HR was 163. Baby measured fine. I have to go pick the pictures up in the radiology dept on cd tomorrow.

The Nurse Practitioner came in and said that all of my tests came back fine except my blood count was low. I was given no possible reason for this.... He said it couldnt be because of bleeding just from this episode. He said for me to be on pelvic rest and bedrest until I follow up with my OB and see what he says. Once again no possible reason for the bleeding was given, which is sooooo frustrating. I'm still bleeding, and only have panty liners with me. Super.

Anyways, sorry I've been absent. I will catch up. Just keep praying. I will update when I hear or see more.

Update with pictures

Went to get medical records. My hematocrit, hemoglobin, and platelets are low. I will be following up with my OB monday. Radiologist read u/s and said fluid levels were fine, no fetal anomalies, no previa...

Bleeding has slowed, not quite stopped. I've had some crampiness... Not strong tho.

Nub?

Hi mom!

Tech said things weren't formed yet.... Hmmm idk. Also the cord in between there somewhere.

That's a horrible scary feeling..I know you too where bleeding on and off like me, hopefully that was the big bleed and you won't bleed anymore, after my big bleed at 13 weeks I needed to were pads for 2 weeks bedrest for 3 weeks and after that I never *knocks on wood* bled again even though I always have it in the back of my mind every time I go to the bathroom. My Doctor told me to drink a little under a gallon of water a day and take 600mg of magnesium(blood in the uterus causes cramping and the water and magnesium help speed up the reabsorbtion process and lessen the cramping..) stay positive and hopefully you get all your answers soon!!

Lots of prayers coming your way. I'm glad you guys are ok. I hope they figure out what is causing the bleed and that it's nothing to worry about.

My gosh, that is scary. You would think they would have some idea where the blood was coming from. Especially since it was a lot. Doctors suck sometimes. I hope that you get some more answers when you can see your doc.

That is terrifying! I'm so sorry that you seem to be having issues, but glad to hear that it isn't bothering the baby and that he or she is healthy and strong! Rest up and sending lots of prayers your way that they can get to the root cause of this and stop it! Feel better Bri
