Half the time, I forget to eat, then try to eat a big meal later. The other half, I reach dinnertime with "cup of potato salad" and "handful of chocolate-covered raisins" under my meal belt for the day.

Gee, doc, I have no idea why I'm losing weight.

I'm the same way. I don't forget to eat. I'm just sad all the time there's no appetite.. and I'm not gonna stuff myself just cause I'm pregnant! I'm sure the eating will pick up soon for us

I don't have that problem while I'm not eating every 3 hours, I realize unlike pre-pregnancy I actually do need to have breakfast, lunch, dinner and a lite snack in betweem. Otherwise if I wait to long I literally feel my body begin to shut down. Everything my legs gets heavy, my stomach hurts, my vision gets blurry.

Mine does, too, but eating still makes me sick. I spend most of the day feeling like I'm going to throw up, and eating often induces that. Blech. I actually ate pretty well before I got pregnant: 6 small meals a day due to stomach issues, including something as soon as I got up. Because of DS2, we eat a modified diet (high in protein and complex carbs, lots of fruits and veggies). Now, I just can't get food in me! We had a cookout yesterday, so I was reminded to eat, but all I could manage was a bite of ice cream, a few chips, and a piece of broccoli.

Soooooooon, I hope. I like eating. I like how I feel when I've eaten well!

Same here. It is crazy how much I absolutely *need* to eat!

YES!!! EAT....set a timer and eat a little snack just to get something in. I have just hit that "eating everything in sight" period.

I do! I mean, I try to. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow, and morning sickness hasn't gone away yet. I had it the whole way with DS1 and only slightly less with DS2. I think that I'm going to have to break down and ask for Zofran. I've managed okay without it, but now that I really need to start gaining weight, knowing that my stress level is about to surge, and that I'm having other issues, I really don't want weight loss to come with that. And feeling weak. Blah. I was hoping that this one would be different and let up on the m/s earlier!

I do have a day here and there when I have to keep eating to keep from puking. I love those days. I actually feel better, overall. I tried to eat some carrots and broccoli tonight, but that didn't end well...

Pregnancy is so weird.

I just left the "I can't eat anything" stage and entered the "If I don't eat the second I get hungry I"ll pass out" stage. Fun stuff. I still feel pukey if I eat a large amount though.

Me, too! It's not that I forget to eat- I WANT to eat! It's just that i cannot find one thing that doesnt gag me when I put it in my mouth... I have had a few meals where I've been able to eat, but not many. Twelve weeks of this and strangely, I have gained 1.5 pounds. Not sure what the baby is feeding off for nutrients. Hoping its my fat. LOL!
