I just had a check up today, nothing major but I just wanted to let everyone know!

so get this, my mom took me cause andrew has to work OT so he doesn't have to use his Vaca hours for the big sonogram Friday. Anyway, we were soo nervous, the doctor comes in and as soon as he starts looking for the babies heart beat she records the sound on her phone.....literally (thanks to the phone know im not exaggerating) took him 2 minutes to find the heart beat. he was like "you are growing nicely i will find it, don't worry" my mom and i had panic looks looking at each other...freaked me out....but he found a nice 148 BPM heart beat.

on another good note, have not gained a pound yet....he told me to keep up the good work, but says not to expect not gaining again at the next visit...he said im sure ill be up a pound or two...which is fine by me...hopefully i can eat good!

Hooray! I had a similar experience the other day. Even though I had just seen the heartbeat on ultrasound, the doc couldn't find it with the Doppler. I was SO paranoid! Hahahaha

I'm down a couple of pounds. I'm sure with the way I'm growing that I'll be adding a few pounds very soon! Here's to growing babies!

I'm so glad you had a great appt! It took my doctor a bit to find the hb, too. I have a doppler here at home, though, and I had listened just before we left for the appt, so I knew it was there (that's why I listened right before we left, I didn't want to panic in the dr's office, lol). She was just looking for it wayyyyy too low and when I told her I usually found it up a bit higher she found it right away.

I haven't gained anything yet either; I'm down a few lbs still and I am hoping I can keep it that way (since I have extra!). We'll see!

Glad it was a good appointment. I know how scary it can be when it takes them awhile to find the heartbeat, it feels like a lifetime!

i was excited for Friday, but I am really rooting for team blue and every one around me keeps saying 'girl' not caring about my wanting a boy...so im just really nervous. im starting to get mad at people for keep saying girl...i feel like they are doing it just because they know i want a boy. i dunno....its weird.

Funny thing is when I read your post I thought boy for some reason. You are more than welcome to join our team. Friday is so close I'm excited for you and I've only gained one pound so far but I have a little cushion so I'm not complaining. I my weight gain remains low and steady for a while. Glad you had a awesome appointment
