Hi folks, it's 5:50am local time here. I've been up since 3:30 . I woke up not feeling too great. My back hurt my stomach mildly ached and as I sat up I was dizzy. In fact, last night as I climbed the stairs to go to bed I got dizzy too. It kinda felt like i'm drunk, without any of the fun, luckily no nausea, though.
I know some dizziness in pregnancy is normal, but it is very disconcerting. I plan on calling my doctor when the office opens in a few hours, but I'd love some reassurance from my favorite pregnant pals...if you too are awake at this ungodly hour.

I wasn't awake so I'm just now seeing this, but I've had some dizziness here and there. It doesn't last longer than a few seconds, though.
I hope you ended up feeling a bit better as the night went on. Let us know what your doctor says.

I get dizzy a lot. It could be lots of things. The good news is that most of the reasons are pretty benign! Mine seems to be the baby pushing on every little vessel in my pelvis. I have low BP, too, so that doesn't help. Sometimes, though, I just plain feel dizzy, no seemingly good reason. My doctor seemed to think that it was perfectly normal to have unexplained dizziness.
I hope that your doc is able to give you some reassurance!

I'm sure it is scary. Even though it is normal I too would call my ob to make sure. Hope your feeling better. Let us know what your Dr says.

I get dizzy, or more like a head rush, very often when I stand up, but it goes away quickly. No matter what kind of dizzy you get, it's scary! It's always ok to check with a doctor when you are unsure!

I have been getting dizzy a lot too. For the most part my doctor thinks its just low blood sugar and that I should snack more (I'm mostly dizzy in the morning before I have eaten). I also get dizzy during the day when I am standing too long. My doctor just says to keep moving around when standing and being dizzy is just another part of pregnancy, but just to monitor it.
Hope you get some reassurance from your doctor!

I have been really dizzy lately too!! I'm attributing it to my "Asthma or Baby" thread and lack of oxygen.

I am always dizzy...but i think i am having problems with my sugar. i talked to the doctor and he told me to up my protein intake and when my sugar falls grab a piece of hard candy...he says it is normal in the 2nd trimester....but do not go by what he/she says...call your doctor and make sure. The worst feeling in the world is that dizzy feeling....

Hope everything settled down. I get dizzy when moving from here to there very often. I'm also anemic, which can cause it. Let us know what doc says.

Ahhhh...I finally fell back asleep and slept from 8:30 am until 1pm. Refreshing, but a big waste of a day off. At least I got the dishes done at the buttcrack of dawn.
I called the doctor when I woke up, I needed to change an appointment anyway. I'm waiting on a nurse to call me back now. At the very least my new appointment is for tomorrow instead of Friday, so I can find out then if I have low blood pressure or something. The odd thing is, is it only happens when I am on the second level of my house, which I keep very cold, for sleeping... I wonder if that has something to do with it?? Probably not, but it is weird.
Thanks for the reassurance, ladies, I am, er, glad you're dizzy too? Kinda?

Glad you fell back asleep and got some needed rest! I'm hoping to get a nap this afternoon to make up for my 430 wake up call.
I'll be curious to hear what your doc says, and if it might be related to the temp??

The nurse said as long as I am eating and drinking enough, dizziness is normal in the early-mid weeks of pregnancy, and they don't really know the cause. Ah, the things they never tell you!
Still very glad I have that appointment tomorrow, 1. to get some answers/assurances from the Dr. and 2. My original slot was on Friday at 2:15, when I was scheduled to work. (pregnant brain forgot to tell them until it was too late)
