Hey all! DH and I were DTD and he looked down and we had blood all over us. We showered and it's been about 90 mins and im still bleeding enough that the toilet paper is red when i wipe. There's no cramping and I've already called the dr (they have 24hrs to return call) I'm out of town and wondering if i should just say screw it and go to ER...

I'd go to the ER just to be safe. It may be nothing that is bad for the baby but it might still be something that needs to be treated. Keep us posted!

I would go to the ER just to be safe... but you may have just broken a blood vessel (or a few) on your cervix.

I had this exact same thing with my first pregnancy. Tons of blood. Everywhere. Scariest thing ever. In my case, my doc did a quick scan and found that I had a very low-lying placenta (like, covering my cervix). The baby was fine and I was fine, but it was scary. It could also be a very irritated cervix or mild yeast infection (what my doc assumed it was at first with me).

All the experts say DTD can't hurt the baby, but I would head to the ER, just to be safe. Bleeding usually has a cause and it's good to know what that is. Sending lots of positive vibes and thoughts your way. KUP on how you're doing.

Just wondering how you are doing this morning and if you talked to your doctor or anything. Thinking of you and hoping everything is ok.

Sorry for the delay ladies, i'm having issues with JM on my phone. Anyways a nurse called me back and said it's very common to bleed after intercourse. She said as long as there was no cramping and that im still not bleeding i should be fine. I never felt a hint of cramping and felt baby boy move all night.

It still was scary. Thanks for checking back in on me.

Nurse just called again. She said pelvic rest till followup ultrasound at 28 weeks. I guess once she told the dr the dr informed her about my low lying placenta and then gave me more directions. DH isn't too thrilled about 7 weeks but hell get over it!!
