I was walking out of the hair dressers with my 17 year old, stepped onto the road and into a huge pothole. I wretched my ankle horribly and really jerked my entire body.

Now I have pains going up and down my lower back and my ankle is swollen as heck and pins and needly.

I hope I didnt jar the baby too much.

I'm sure baby is fine, as long as you didn't fall on your belly. Lots of cushion in there to protect them.

The ankle though, keep an eye on it. Prop it up good (not just level with your legs, but a little higher) and ice that sucker. It if gets worse a trip to the ER might help. And while you're there see if they will look at baby or at least find the heartbeat for you!

Ohh ouch!! That sounds painful. I'm sure baby is ok, but I know I would worry too. I hope your body feels better soon. Can you take a warm bath or shower and see if that helps?

Aww I'm sorry you hurt yourself! Elevate that leg, use tylenol when needed, and ice ice baby!

Speaking of the baby, I am sure most of the pains you are feeling are from the injury; everything is connected. Like others have said the baby is well protected so I wouldn't worry

Feel better!

Ty ladies. I'm pretty sure its just a sprain, I already have an apt tomorow....so I think I will see if they can do a heartbeat if the baby stops moving around. But he seems fine now.

I agree with the PPs. I'm sure baby is fine, but nurse that ankle! KUP on how you're doing.

Oh no! Ouch!!
~ Ginger

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb...I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together...Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139: 13-16

Ouch!! I hope you feel better real soon!! I am sure the baby is ok esp if you didn't land on your stomach. You are prob just in pain from the stretch....if you are really worried I would call you OB and let them know what happened but I think the baby is fine....take care of yourself!!
