Hi, everyone! We did our gender reveal on Sunday, and I will post some pics probably tomorrow after I get the CD from our photographer.

IT'S A GIRL!

Guess Bri was right! I was a little surprised because I really thought boy... Guess it's because we have always "gotten" what we "wanted" as far a sex in the past.

I was surprised that DH had such a good reaction. Not that I thought he would be super pissed and yell, but I expected more comments about his disappointment or a look or something. All he said is, "I knew it! When that box opened I could just picture God pointing and laughing 'HAHA!'" He cracks me up. He really is just going with the flow.

Our DS is actually really excited to have another sister (?!?!) which was a very unexpected reaction from him. Oldest DD took it the hardest. She was excited at the photo shoot, but was a little down later on. We talked about it, though, and she's really excited to go shopping, so she's feeling better and is VERY excited to announce the news! Obviously, youngest DD just was excited about the balloons!

What surprised me the most was how disappointed I was... I thought I wouldn't be. I think it is mostly about the relationship I have with our son now is so great and loving that I really wanted that again. And of course I know there are no guarantees... Also, I really wanted our son to have a brother. I am just hoping that the new little girl is not such a firecracker as her older sis! Both my girls have been tough toddlers and very independent, and youngest DD is so much more work!!! Praying for a calm, sweet, loving little girl!! I am feeling lots better about it now, and feel like a terrible mom for even feeling disappointed at all...

Will update with pictures as soon as I can!!

Congrats on team pink!

for the rest. I think what you are feeling is natural.. Once you have your sweet little daughter in your arms I'm sure it will all melt away.

I understand, I was kind of in that spot last time around. My oldest is a HANDFUL! I just kept praying for God to give us exactly the person and personality that our family needed. My younger DS is a lot more calm and easy going, and has been from the get go. I truly do believe that he was the exactly puzzle piece to fit with our family. I've prayed the same thing with this baby and I'm excited to see what God has planned.

Anyways all of that was just to say just because it's the same gender does not determine the personality at all!! Hugs! Within a week I was feeling much better after my gender reveal with Callen, and by the time I gave birth my disappointment was a distant memory.

Congrats on team pink!!!
I know a little about the disapointment, although it wasn't me that was feeling it. It was DH, and it had me crushed. I knew he wanted a little boy. But, his disappointment only lasted a day. Now he talks about his two little girls and how he can't wait to meet his new daughter.
Although I really wanted to experience one of each, I'm super excited to have another girl. Plus I'm excited to give DD a sister.

I super depressed for 3 or 4 days after learning this baby was a girl. It wasn't so much the fact that we were having a 3rd girl as it was knowing I would NEVER have a son. I have since become very excited.

Congrats on your little girl and I bet in a week your sadness will be a distant memory.

Congrats on your little girl and joining team pink! I think gender disappointment is a very real, natural thing. I was a little down that I may never have a son, but now I am just dying to meet my newest little princess!

Give it a few days and allow yourself to feel whatever you need to feel. Don't beat yourself up if you need a little time to get used to the idea of another girl. It doesn't make you a bad mom, just a human one. Pretty soon, I bet you'll feel nothing but excitement about your little lady!

Congrats again!

Congrats!! There are plenty of us here who've had a bit of the gender disappointment, so don't you dare feel bad about it! It will fade and you will be left with nothing but joy and wonder at this newest little person in your family. Can't wait to see the pics!
