I'm not very happy with the sonographer at my appt and I am not sure I will go back. I didn't get much info from this appt nor any pictures which made me a lil tiff...lol... The baby is 1lb and 6oz and I was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios and Left the appt terrified. The Dr was very nonchalant as well and I won't be able to find out any more until 4 weeks at my next appt. One good thing is I am finally looking pregnant! I actually have a baby bump, I guess it took 2 pregnancies to do that. It's amazing bc I am 25 weeks and way bigger than I was last time at 9 months.

First off, I am happy to hear that your baby bump has popped!

Secondly, I am very sorry to hear about the Polyhydramnios. That is something I am very unfamilair with, but I did look it up here. I would be terrified as well! I find it very frustrating that your doctor acted so nonchalant and didn't offer any explanation to you as to why that is happening or how the issue would be dealt with. Is there any way you can bump up the appointment rather than waiting 4 long weeks? That seems a bit excessive when you found out there is something amiss. I would try to get in ASAP!! You could always keep the appointment in 4 weeks for your regular check-up, but I would make an appointment for a counseling session with the doctor regarding the Polyhydramnios.

Please keep us posted!!!!!

That's great about your bump, but I am also sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I also hadn't heard about it, so had to read up as well. I hope that your next appointment will bring you more answers and sense of peace. x

hank God she isn't my regular OB this is the Perinatologist specialist that I see bc I am considered high risk bc I am AMA (Advanced Maternal Age) 38. I'm calling my regular OB today to get an emergency appt and looking to change specialist. What the Dr did say was it can be caused by baby being to big which isn't the case, me having diabetes which isn't the case but I take my glucose test the 28th or the baby is having trouble swallowing which they have no evidence of and that I could fall into the category of unknown cause. So I am like freaking out about to cry and she's like but we'll check u again in 4 weeks and gets up. I felt numb as I just had a baby Aug 2011 and I had the perfect pregnancy no complications easy labor and I'm feeling like a first time Mom bc I feel so lost. I came home and googled and got even more terrified so I was banned from the laptop over the weekend.

Oh okay, good to hear that isn't your regular OB!

Please let me know if you are able to get in for an earlier appointment and what you find out. It sounds to me like that other OB either doesn't know what they're talking about or just doesn't care enough to take the time to explain anything in detail.

Is it possible that they diagnosed you wrong? To just be so cold as to leave you like that and say "check you again in four weeks" is wrong. Some doctors really do lose their sense of humanity in dealing with patients. It's really bad how inhumane some people have become towards the feelings and needs of others. When a potential problem exists, that is the time to sit and answer questions and try to help that person understand what is going on and what can happen or how the issue will be addressed. Not to just blow it off and get up and leave, that's beyond ridiculous.

You poor thing! My heart goes out to you! I hope you can get some good news from your REAL doctor and find out how to tackle this. It's possible that maybe things aren't as bad as they're saying, doctors have been wrong in the past. And given the demeanor of that one, it's possible they're wrong. If need be, get a second opinion! But I would try to get into my doctor ASAP and find out how the issue is going to be handled.

:hugs:

Did you get an appointment set with your regular OB? I am so sorry you are left with no answers.
