We've been changing our minds a lot. Me especially.

Our last top choice I wasn't 100% sold on, and the ladies in the name forum kinda killed it for me.

But our new one: Harvey.

Our favorite first/middle combos are

Harvey Xavier

Harvey Xane

Harvey Drake

How do you ladies feel about Harvey? And do you think I'm nuts for posting something very similar to this in the names forum? lol

If you guys like it, go for it.

When I hear the name I think of Harvey Dent ('Two-Face' on the Batman story line). There is also the drink called the Harvey Wallbanger... There is the actor Harvey Keitel... These are the only associations I have with the name "Harvey".

My pick from your list is Harvey Xavier.

I like Harvey Drake.

PS: I went over the the Name forum to see what your previous name choice was. I like it!!! I didn't think of the negative connotation at all.

Yeah, actually... it's a funny story. I was at dinner with my husband when I thought of our last pick, Chester. He got excited about it immediately. Then he said, you know, I think there was a recurring comic in Hustler about a character called Chester the Molester.

I laughed at him and called him a perv. Then I texted my sister to get her opinion of the name. She responded all excited, saying she really liked it. Then I got a second text from her saying she was in the car with my father, and that he seems to remember a comic strip called Chester the Molester.

...And that's how I found out my father likes to read Hustler. I called him out on it too. Must have been an awkward car ride, lol.

DH and I had decided that even though there was that connotation, it wouldn't be too well known since it came from Hustler. Plus we liked the added bonus of being able to shame the people who said something about it by loudly telling them that we disapprove of their choice of reading material.

But unfortunately, it seems like it's a very well known thing, and not limited to fans of porn. So we kept looking.

My husband is a huge comic book fanatic-- when I met him (in college), he actually had half his hair bleached. So Harvey Dent is the reason he was pushing for the name Harvey. It grew on me. I kind of feel that it's also a way for us to name our son for my husband without using my husband's name.

Ready for more dorky stuff? Drake is another Batman reference (Tim Drake- he was the third Robin), and Xavier is Professor X from the Xmen. ...My husband is really getting everything he wants with these name choices.

Xane is the only one that isn't a comic book reference- it's a variant of John, which was my grandfather's name.

Hahaha! That's awesome!!

Yeah that was the first name that came to my mind (Harvey Dent).

And I know what you mean about Xavier, that occurred to me too.

I'm surprised he didn't opt for Logan, that's the name of Wolverine.

He's more of a Nightcrawler fan, which is why the first name he asked for was Kurt.

Oh wow!! Most people like Wolverine most. hahaha

That's epic! xD

Well...I think the name you guys picked is great, I just can't help but chuckle because obviously you can tell I am into that comic stuff from when I was a kid.

And as you know...any other comic book fan will get the reference too. hehehe

I like it. My first thought was thought was that old movie "Harvey" where Jimmy Stewart is friends with an imaginary rabbit.

no trust me, i dont think you're a freak, i am the same way. my last name is two syllables, which is why none of those three middles are two syllables, lol. your opinion would be much appreciated.

I like Harvey Drake the best. I thought of Harvey Dent as well, but most times people don't call you by your first and middle name so I don't think that is bad

Then I would go with Harvey Drake. Not only does it flow nicely (2-1-2) but it keeps with the Batman theme!

I like Harvey! I have a cousin named Chester. I say if you like something go for it.

And from experience, steer clear of name boards. Some of them claim you're immature, or illiterate, based on names. I swear some of those people like to rip other people apart.

I am about to pee myself over here!

P.S. I love the name Harvey and the cute backstory tying it to your DH.
