Listen I don't eat like a bird, but this 3 day "diet" in preparation for the 3 hour glucose test is insanity. It's more food than I ever eat in one sitting! I'm literally forcing myself to eat (albeit slowly) because I have to eat what's on the list if not more. You don't have to worry about the more part! Lol
I mean this was breakfast alone:
Cup Of OJ
Slice of bread with jam
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup dry cereal
1/2 warm cereal
Cup of fruit
Coffee or tea
This may not seem like a lot but all at one time it is!
Seriously you should have seen the dishes from this one meal! Sheesh. I mean it's better than a diet of seaweed juice and laxatives or whatever celebs and thin people do, but dang I have to pack in a lot of food!
Why is it you have to eat those particular foods/amounts?
I have to eat the recommended amounts that equate to 150 carbohydrates. I have no idea the rhyme or reasoning, but maybe it just allows for the most accurate results of your blood sugar after three days because at least they know most of what your diet was? I'm really not sure
