I got a whole lot of hand me down 0-3 so I am not getting anymore. We literally have like 15 onesies and a ton of outfits. In terms of newborn stuff, I have a set of long sleeved and short sleeved onesies, 2 sleepers, and asked for a few more sleepers and one more 5 pack of short sleeved onesies and one 4 pack of long sleeved onesies. I'd rather not have too much newborn stuff since I'm not sure how big she will be. I am definitely keeping the tags on some stuff so I can return if she ends up being bigger than expected!

I have no idea! I am going to see what I get at my shower, and sort of eyebal it from there. I will prob also ask my SIL what she thinks of my stash once the shower is over. I guess what I'm saying is that I am just going to wing it and probably end up with far too many things!

It took my DD a long time to start fitting into the 0-3 month stuff. She was born at 6lbs, 11 oz. The stuff looks so tiny on the hangers, but then you see how little the baby is. I'm assuming this baby will be similar in size to DD... but ya never know.
I still havent gone through DD's baby stuff, but I had tons of it. I went way overboard for her first year. I'm not thinking I'll have to buy much, although I did pick out a few newborn sleepers the other day at carters.

It varies. I like to start out somewhere in the middle of the road and then buy as needed if necessary. Onesies and gowns are what we use the most of for the first few weeks. Then tons of sleepers and slowly we add in the outfits.

I have what feels like a TON. I'm going to put it out on the bed and arrange it by size and I'll take a pic to show you. I have two friends that gave me big stacks of clothing, plus I've bought some things so we are set. I have mostly 0-3, with a few NB and a few 3-6. I'm waiting on 6mo+ to see how fast he grows because it gets so hot here so quickly, I'm not sure what season to buy.

ETA: Omg, this is an eye-opener. I'm glad you started this thread because I have WAY too many clothes for this baby. I will definitely be reining myself in and not buying anything else, lol. I'm about halfway through what I have and I've got it stacked on a queen size bed and I'm almost out of room. The vast majority of it has been gifted to us or I bought it secondhand at a GREAT price though (like 50 cents per item for things that look like they were never worn).

I have 12 onesies
3 hats
3 pairs on newborn socks
A snow suit for walks
A few cute 0-3 and 3-6 month outfits
I need to buy sleepers since he will be living in sleepers here bc of how cold it gets.

I won't get many cute outfits because it seems like they never wear them all.
After the shower I will make sure I'm good on basics like sleepers and gowns. I love the gowns for nightime. It makes it so much easier!

I'm kind of embarrassed now that I look at all of this. But like I said, a huge amount of it was passed on to us from friends with baby boys and I bought a huge bag of it for $10 weeks ago. I'm definitely not buying anything else though!

These photos do overlap some, too:

This isn't all of it either. I got tired of laying it all out and sorting so I quit. I probably have about half a large drawer to go. And my mom is bringing a small suitcase full for him when she comes in January.

He has more clothes than the rest of us put together I think, and there is no way he'll ever wear all of this.

All I'm gonna say is WOW. Where are you gonna store it all?

I will be doing about a dozen onesies, 14 sleepers, 10 gowns, and then a few sleep sacks or so and then a few outfits. I have around a dozen pair of socks. We don't do outfits much. I don't think they would be comfortable to sleep in and it's cold here in the winter.

I still need to pull my tubs I saved from my girls to see what I have left to get.

I have NO idea. I was just thinking about that today after I saw it all laid out, lol. Especially because he's not going to have his own nursery. I guess I'll put it all in our closet. There is a tall dresser in there that is mostly empty.

Almost all of it is onesies or sleepers or gowns. I'm not much for outfits either when they're tiny.

I hadn't thought about this too much yet. I know there will be some hand-me-downs coming our way, probably more once we have the baby and people know whether to hand down dresses or now. I think I'll wait until after the shower to worry about it too much, but I'm planning to stick to onesies, sleepers and sleep sacks for the first few weeks until I'm feeling a little more confident about what the baby is comfortable wearing, etc.

I've purchased mostly sleepers so far for her in NB, 0-3. 3-6 and 6-9. I haven't bought much though.

As far as outfits go I've purchased a few in 6-12 for next fall.

I am not going to buy anything else until I have my shower and also see what my niece has for me (she had a daughter in March and she's been saving clothes for me). I know people tend to buy NB, 0-3 & 3-6 for showers in my experience.

I want to get a bunch of gowns b/c they always worked great for us those first few weeks but again wanna wait and see.
