I can't believe I didn't think about this sooner, but I am SO painting my belly for Halloween! (well probably next week since I'll be jetsetting around, but in honor of Halloween). I am such a ham and this seems like an ideal activity for the hubs and I to do or potentially for my girlfriends and I when I go home in a week and a half. I was just wondering if anyone has done it before and if so, what kind of paint would you recommend getting/are there any good websites you used for design inspiration?
I'm trying to figure out what paint to use! I figure something from michaels or joanns but what kind is safe? I'm not sure! i'll let you know if I find out and hopefully someone will know on here!
The safest paint to use is an FDA approved, water-based paint.
Face paints are another safe option from what I've read.
Purchase paint in the colors of your design. Use face paint, body paint or any other safe, nontoxic paint. It is important to use paint that will easily come off of the skin as well as a paint that does not contain lead or mercury, which are not safe.
Hope that helps! I think I am definitely doing this, probably with my mom and girlfriends because I think they would get more of a kick out of it than anyone else!
I am officially going to do the belly painting next Friday with my girlfriends and my mom! It's gonna be so fun and a nice relaxing evening the day before my northern baby shower! Yay for Vivi's first Halloween costume (that she'll share with me of course )
Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I had my mind set on painting my belly for halloween. My daughter said that I have to do a pumpkin. lol Ill probably just use halloween face paint from the halloween store, at least then I will know its safe to use on the skin!
