Ok, I tend to get a little nerouvs at the end because both my living children have been born early due to fetal distress. With that being said I am paying very close attention to Hope's movements and counting kicks. Today she has been so lazy barely moving at all. I finally decided to lay down drink some soda and lay on the heating pad. The heating pad usually gets her moving like crazy. It took 50 minutes to get 10 light kicks. Lately she has been moving like crazy so this is unusual. However she did get to 10 kick in less than 2 hours. I am wondering if I should go in and get a NST to put my mind at ease or am I just being overly cautious because of my record? I don't know what to do. I'm thinking I will just wait somemore and see how she is the rest of the day.

My midwife always says even teeny-tiny kicks/flutters/rolls count as movements. If you got ten movements in two hours, she's probably fine, but if you are concerned, I would at least call your doctor (or go in, if you are really worried). It's better to have peace of mind than have to worry the whole weekend. KUP on how you're doing.

I would call the doctor. You are concerned due to past issues and it's better to be safe than sorry. It is a Friday afternoon and your doctor's office, if like mine, will be closing for the weekend. There is no sense worrying about it all weekend long and wishing you had at least called. Just talking to your doctor may ease your mind or they may want to see you, but either way, I think it will bring you peace.

well, kind of the same thinking I have for preterm labor....
My opinion....everything sounds fine...BB has her slower days too. But....I always think its better to be safe than sorry even if it is just for reassurance.

I think she is just having a lazy day! I think I am having one too. I have no ambition to do anything productive this afternoon.

I have days like this too, today is one of them. And it does seem to correlate with my energy level. BUT, that being said, given your history, if you are concerned, call/go in. Better safe than sorry!

I would call or go in just to be on the safe side and ease your mind. Parker most certainly has lazy days too, with today being one of them, but they never cease to scare the crap out of me. If she starts moving more in the next hour or so then maybe put it off, but if not and you can't stop worrying, go in and make sure.

I actually had a day yesterday where Vivi basically didn't move no poked the crap outta her, drank oj, nada. I did get some rolls but that's it. Today she has definitely made up for it!

But if you are really concerned, I would call to be safe. When is your next apt?

Monday is my next appointment. I'm feeling better about it now and if anything should worry me over the weekend I can always go into L&D for a quick NST.

That was me yesterday. Twice a week our little buttercup moves a lot less and the rest of the week she's doing summersaults in there. On the days she moves less I start freaking out but then I do the kick counts and realize that maybe she's tired.
