I totally forgot to ask my doctor about this one, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has felt something like it and what it is? The best way I can describe it is it feels like a twinge of pain similar to getting a catheter inserted/taken out. It's not up in my bladder, but rather feels like there is something trying to poke out my urethra. It is very random, but sharp and quick enough usually to make me gasp, and then it goes away. I don't have a UTI or any other infection. I get this pain a couple times a day. I swear that she is poking her little finger somewhere it shouldn't be! Has anyone else had anything similar to this!??? Anyone? anyone????

YES! I get these a lot when I have been on my feet for a long while. I described to my doctor as "a not so gentle pap smear." It HURTS! but it only lasts a second, until it happens again.
My Doc said it was her head pressing on nerve endings on her side of the cervix.

Yup. I get that, too. My little lass is sitting very low and if she moves just right, I get that awful sharp, twing-y pain. Not so fun.

This has been happening to me too - just in the last week or so...there is actually a name (don't judge - i didn't make this up - but came across it last night while googling what it could be) lighting crotch.... see this post... Lighting crotch? - July 2012 Birth Club - BabyCenter

It says what Zaney's doc said that the baby's head is pressing on nerve endings...fun stuff.

I haven't had it much, but once in a while, this has happened for sure...mostly when I get up after sitting for a long time.
