Idk what happened but I just stood up and I literally can't walk. Something is wrong with my back. Idk what to do! I crawled to my bed.

Update:
Laid up in L&D....just had the most painful cervix "check" of my life. Nurse then spilled my urine sample. Baby's fine. My BP is fine. No contractions. I have a feeling I'm getting sent home with pain meds.

Update 2: Well they ended up admitting me. I was having contractions 2-4 mins apart and dehydrated. No dilating though. I got an IV, a shot of demeral and lots of monitoring. They said my kidneys were "irritated" ? but no infection. ?? That was according to my urine sample...what was left of it. They let me come home since I wasn't dilating but told me to call my dr. in the morning if I'm the same or worse. What's bad is the demeral really hasn't touched my pain. I even still have a headache. How is that possible?? Ugh...I really hate this.....

Update 3- Thursday a.m.: I ended up being re-admitted the very next day and am still here. I had an MRI yesterday (slightly traumatizing) which shows i have a bulging disc causing pinched nerves. The neurologist said theres not really anything they can do other than pain meds since im pregnant. Don't know if or when I'm going home today. Baby is good and active. It's so sad to lay here and hear babies being born and crying for the first time. I wish it were mine! But it will be soon....

Scary! Have you ever had issues with your sciatic nerve before? I'd definitely call the doctor. Hope you feel better!!!

So sorry :-(

My back has been sore from a long plane ride and my sciatic was killing me, but the chiro adjustment today helped a ton.

No, I was just sitting and then stood up. There was no sharp or sudden pain. I just couldn't walk. Idk ifs its a pinched nerve or what. They just game me Demoral (or however u spell it). I think I'm about to go home. I hate this. I'm so embarrassed and uncomfortable. I just want to go home.

Oh, yuck. My friend just spent several days in the hospital until she could walk. She has a pinched nerve. A few steroid shots and some PT, and she's back on her feet at her salon! (I'd probably just want to lie around and try to keep it from happening again. ) I hope that you get some relief from the pain!

Yuck! Feel better! Shouldn't be embarrassed....you are human! Maybe some alternating warm/cool compresses along with a chiropractor and pain meds will alleviated your discomfort!

Oh goodness. That's terrible. Don't be embarassed. Pain is pain!! Trust me...going into the hosp for that is nothing compared to the silly stuff I see come in the ER!! Maybe the contractions were from behing dehydrated and you might have a pinched nerve. Do you see a chiro? They can really help with that! Sometimes even sitting on an exercise ball can help.

Hope you get some relief soon. Praying the pain goes away!!

Glad you got to go home, but sorry you're still in pain. Hopefully your Dr can help you out today if you're still hurting this morning.

i dont know how i didn't see this thread until right now, but--

this happened to my mother in law when she was pregnant with my husband. he was pressing against her spine, and "dropped her." she couldn't walk, and ended up delivering via c section.

once he was out, they were both fine, except his nose was a little flat at first since *that's* what he was jamming against her spine, lol. it's ok, it didn't stay that way forever.
