Yep I'm still pregnant, I honestly can't believe I made it this far. When I came into the hospital on 11/24 they didn't think I would last to the next day. Saturday I will have been here 3 weeks and Friday I will hit my 33 week mark. I've been 100% effaced and 4 cm for 3 weeks... I didn't know it was possible. Last Friday they did an u/s to see if he was still breech and measure him. He's still breech and weighs approx 5lbs (he's a huge baby for 32 weeks). Since he's still breech they won't let me go home because there is a big pocket of amniotic fluid between him and my cervix and if my water breaks then the chances of cord prolapse is too great of a risk. So I'm still stuck here and will be until he turns , I go into full blown labor (they aren't gonna try to stop just because he's so healthy), or they induce me when I get to 37-38 weeks (they don't think its possible but it feels like it is at this point). Since I've had no contractions they moved me to a mother/baby room, and they only monitor him 2 times a day, he sounds perfect they said... so that's about it, just hanging in there!
WOW! Congratulations on still being pregnant! And I'm thrilled that he's so healthy! You have to be so relieved. It's nice that you've sort of stepped down into a more comfortable room, too. I know that the hospital isn't entirely restful, but it sounds like they're leaving you alone a little now to let your body do what you need to do.
