Possible TMI...

Just used the restroom, wiped and saw the usual CM... but with a little streak of blood running through it. Wha...?! :jawdrops:

I typically don't have bleeding until labor is pretty close, but this early? No strong contractions or anything yet, just the usual BHs. Now I'm freaking out because NOTHING is ready for this baby! We were supposed to have at least another 2-3 weeks (more like 3-5, with my history of going overdue). But now I'm scared that if I kick things into high gear, it will kick-start labor.

Either way, I guess it means we're getting closer!

UPDATE:
I was up more than half the night with painful contractions and nausea last night. It had me pretty panicked, but I keep trying to sleep thinking that if I ignored them, they would go away. Brilliant, huh? Well, at some point they tapered off enough for me to get a couple of hours of sleep in the wee small hours of the morning.

I've only had a couple of contractions this morning. They are completely irregular, but fairly strong. I'm really hoping this all goes away, but it seems like she may be coming sooner rather than later. I can't imagine having this go on for 3+ weeks.

I'm hoping to get some cleaning and organizing done today just in case her arrival is imminent...

UPDATE #2:
I just talked to my midwife. She said it sounds like this could be the beginning of labor, but on the other hand, I could still be waiting a week or two.

She is not really concerned about Bean having problems if she does come a little early. She said since she is a girl, she is measuring well, and I have had very large healthy babies, she wouldn't be overly concerned about her having health issues.

She did say that she might have some issues with breathing, but nothing emergent, so we could assess her and if she needs more assistance, we could put her on oxygen (my midwife brings lots with her) and drive to the hospital 5 minutes away. She also said she might be skinnier and have more issues with keeping warm and eating, but again, nothing that would be life threatening. So relieved!

The catch: my midwife cannot legally deliver a baby at home before 37 weeks. So, I'm really, really hoping that, even if this is pre-labor, she will wait until Sunday to make her arrival. Cross those crossables for me, gals!

On the brightside, if she does come a little earlier, DH can take several days off work to be here, so part of me is hoping that she does come soon-ish, even though I still feel completely caught off guard.

Now watch, now that I've given all this some credence, the contractions will stop and I will go my usual 41+ weeks pregnant.

I've heard of people losing their plug early, although I have only ever lost it when my water breaks.

:-/. Have you DTD recently? My gums randomly started bleeding yesterday while driving down the road. Not eating, not brushing teeth. Hopefully it was just a fluke, and you still have time. I'd freak out too... I have so much to do.

Nope. We haven't DTD in a bit because DH is scared she is going to come early and doesn't want to do anything to... er... help things along. The spotting was completely out of the blue.

Eek sounds like another anxious january baby! Be careful how much cleaning/organizing you do today, may make things go even faster!

Wow these January babies are in a huge rush!!!

Try to take it easy, and remember to breathe... if she comes, she comes, nothing you can do about it! It might not be ideal timing but you'll make it work. Rest up, drink water, and KUP!

(Can you tell I am a tad excited?!)

Oo hopefully she'll hold off another week or so!

She must've really wanted her Daddy to be able to be around the first few days
