How many of you are washing your baby clothes in special detergent like dreft or all baby? I want to start all my baby loads of laundry and debating whether or not to use the regular family detergent or go and buy something special

I'm going to use either Dreft or ALL. I don't know that it's totally necessary, but I figure it can't hurt and I like how it smells and I just enjoy doing special baby things, lol.

I used special baby soap because I love the smell and you never know how sensitive their skin will be. I only use it for the first couple months then switch to our detergent though.

I also have been washing all of his things with Dreft, but it may be partially because I also like special baby things.

I used dreft on all my baby laundry, but I also LOVE the smell. As LO gets older, I may switch, depending on skin sensitivity.

I have always used baby soap (Dreft, All, etc...) for the baby's 1st year of life on everything they use.....after 1 year I use the family laundry detergent.

I washed all my babies things in Country Save, because I had it on hand for cloth diapers but after baby has been against my clothing and I know there is no allergy I will switch to regular detergent.

I washed mine in All Free and Clear, I usually use Tide and it has a strong fragrance so I thought I better use something with a little less fragrance.

I also used All Free & Clear, just because that's what we already had. I may buy a small bottle of Dreft and wash a few things like the coming home outfit just so i can have the memory of that smell.

I used All Free and Clear. DH is allergic to the air, and I use it with him and he's fine. I figure my girls will be too.

We switched to All Free and Clear right before Sean was born and just do all our laundry (except diapers) with that. The baby detergents that smell so good still have fragrances and stuff that can irritate baby's skin if they are sensitive, so I saw no point in shelling out the extra money.

I love the smell of Dreft but my gosh 11.00 for a small bottle. So this time I bought the All Free and Clear.

I use a baby soap for at least a little while. I love the smell, and I use fragranced soap for the rest of us.

I don't buy ALL or Dreft though, I buy Target's brand. I prefer the smell of this one and it's a little cheaper.

I do have some free and clear detergent, so I will probably use that after the baby soap is gone.

I will use baby detergent or free and clear detergent for probably at least 6 months. Possibly 1 year (that's how long I went with DD)

We use the same stuff we use for us. It's gentle, so it should work fine!

I'm using All Free and Clear and their fabric softener sheets as well. I read many reviews that it is actually less irritating than Dreft.

I was going to use Dreft...and then I saw the price

I was using Tide for most of the stuff, but I actually just saw that ALL has pods that have no scent so I've started using that. Sort of worried that she will be sensitive to the times I've used fragrant pods, but if worst comes to worst, we rewash.

I am going to use Babyganics for at least the first year...at least that's my plan. Of course, that will all change if there is some reaction to it or something. After that, I may choose a mild everyday detergent that we can all use.

I use Seventh Generation without dyes or perfumes for our clothes. That's what I washed the baby's clothes in. I'll stick with that unless there's a bad reaction to it.
