Just wanted to give you ladies a quick update after my growth ultrasound appointment this morning. The good news is that I won't be having little Parker this weekend! He is still super small, but went up to 4lbs 2ounces from 3lbs 6ounces 2 weeks ago. Likely due to the steroids we gave him for his lungs since they make everything work better for a short amount of time, but I'll take it! He did fall from the 12th percentile to the 8th though, so now I will have 2 weekly appointments with my high risk office as well as my weekly NST with my regular OB. If the cord blood flow looks bad at any of the appts I will go right to labor and delivery, so we are kind of on standby at any point in the next 2 weeks. If all continues ok then we are inducing on the 29th no matter what (37 weeks). I was happy with the appointment, but still scared as hell for the next 2 weeks.

I am thrilled to hear baby Parker grew! What a tough little guy.

I know that you are scared, but your little man is tough. We are all here for you. Prayers for Parker.

I'm glad he got a little growth in there! Beats the alternative for sure. I'll keep sending all my positive vibes that he continues to grow and stays put until the 29th! xx

Thanks so much for the positive thoughts and growing vibes ladies, they are definitely appreciated. I know his blood flow is likely to get worse over the next 2 weeks (since the steroids are gone now and the doc said it'll decrease), but each day he's in there makes him healthier and a shorter NICU stay. I'll keep you all updated if anything else happens!

Grow Parker, grow!!! Glad the steroids helped and he gained some weight. Are they going to or can they give you more steroids to help with growth? I'm keeping little Parker in my thoughts to keep on growing and get that blood flow.

Unfortunately the steroids are a one and done kinda thing just to get the lungs developed more and the good side effect is that it helped with weight gain and blood flow for a short amount of time. We'll see how his blood flow goes now and how fast it decreases.

I'm so glad he did grow some! Every day is such a benefit for him, and it won't be long now. Hang in there mama.
