My regular OBs seem to think that the baby is gigantic. The high risk OB said she was only a couple of weeks ahead. DS1 was 9 lbs 9 ozs and 23". He was VERY dense, and not at all chubby. DS2 is a primordial dwarf, so I don't really include his birth weight/height as anything to judge by. Of course, given DS1's size, I think that everyone expects this one to be large, and I do too, to an extent. I just don't *feel* like she's all that big. I haven't gotten any new stretch marks this time around. (Ohhh, I'm covered in them from the other 2!) I have SPD (plus inflammation), so just sitting makes it feel like something huge is coming out. People are SHOCKED when they see me that I have as long to go as I do. Still, taking everything together, looking in the mirror and trying to gauge where her body parts are and how big that would make her, she doesn't SEEM big. DH keeps reminding me that I'm 6' tall, have wide hips, large boobs, so my belly is going to look small in pictures unless I'm standing next to someone shorter and thinner. Uh, thanks, dear. Hahahahahahaha

I guess we'll see. I've just been sitting here thinking about it today. I don't know why.

Hmm, since Latham's est weight of 6 lbs at 34 weeks I don't think my stomach has gotten any bigger. My current stretchmarks are turning red, so they can certainly lenthen but I haven't gotten any new ones. Every time my OB measures my stomach he just says, "looking good" so there is no telling if I have gotten bigger or what. My stomach feels heavier so I am going to est around the same weight as Madison, 8lbs 7oz.

Around 34 weeks, the doc estimated her lower-end weight to be 6 lbs 10 ozs. I could tell that he also had my GA off because of the way he said something about my due date. (He thought I was a couple of weeks further along.) I'm really not in denial about my size. I just have a picture of me at 36 weeks with DS1, and I don't feel like I look quite that big. I keep reminding myself that she's tucked in sideways, and he was fully back/butt OUT...and pushing. A LOT. Hahaha It will be interesting to see, I suppose.

Sure is making it difficult to think about clothing she'll need, though!

Let's see, on November 15th, I had an ultrasound where the tech estimated him at 5 lbs 9 oz. I was 32 weeks.

I had him December 8th at 35 weeks and he weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. I'd say my doc was pretty spot on.

Oh, that was pretty close, at least! Nice! They were way off on both of my other kids. I'm interested to see how close they are for this one. I'm not worried; I'm just curious. I think that I like NOT focusing on all the insanity that has to happen before baby can get here, and instead, focusing on things like what she'll look like, how big she'll be, what day she'll come, etc.

I was shocked to hear the u/s tech estimate her to be 6 lbs 9 oz at 34.5 weeks. I was thinking that had to be wrong! I guess we'll see in the next week or so....

Based on a sample size of just one (very scientific, I know) I am skeptical of doctor estimates, especially from the outside. (My friend was highly encouraged, shall we say, to forgo trying vaginal birth because the doctor told her the baby was too big. The baby ended up being smaller than her first, vaginally delivered, baby. She was a little pissed.) But I've not actually had any estimates given to me (I'm only 34 weeks at this week's appointment though.) My practice is not big on relaying specific data. Although the doc did say my belly measurement (sorry, pregnant brain forgetting the word here) was spot on to my DD.

I put no stock into this. I was told my 2nd dd would be over 10lbs and she was 8 lb 9oz.

Every measurement I have been given shows Scooter measuring about 2 weeks ahead...but they rarely give estimated weights because they know how far off they can be. I fully believe that he is measuring big though!

My doc has been pretty on with my kids. I think off just in ounces but he looks at u/s all day and doesn't have a tech do them.
