So I've had swelling of the feet before with my previous pregnancies...but this time it's so crazy. Instead of my ankles disappearin and gettin puffy all the way down to my toes, this time I get what we call 'donuts' around my ankles. The swelling starts just above my ankle bone and goes down about half an inch to an inch. Makin a perfect little donut shape around my ankles. Crazied thing!

How would one google that...'are donut shaped ankles during pregnancy normal or cause for concern?'

LOL

Haha yeah I guess you are right! I wonder what would show up? Honestly I have never heard of that but can totally see how they would look in my head, sometimes when I'm wearing my socks I get rings around my ankles from my feet swelling...from my socks!! I'm going to look it up and see if I can find some info!

Ok as suspected not much on donut ankle swelling actually nothing I could find on the area on the foot or ankle that was swollen just a lot of the general info about pregnancy and swelling sorry not much help. Maybe just keep an eye on it and ask your DR. About it if it becomes worse or a constant issue. I have had several days of swelling but none that were consecutive.

I swell every day! So annoying. Today when I got off work at 6 am I did a few things with the kids, took them to school, ran a couple errands and then went to bed around 9:30. Stayed in bed until 4pm...you would have thought the swelling would have gone down. It did, some. But soon as I was back up and out of bed it was back. I go to the dr on Thursday so I am goin to mention it to her. She noticed the swelling last time (two weeks ago) and just said to keep an eye on it, prop my feet and drink lots of water. Ugh, doesn't seem to be helping! Surely it's nothing but I'm going to ask while I am there, just in case.

I'm getting lots of foot/ankle swelling too. Ugh. It bothers me because it worries me, but I've had it the whole pregnancy so w/e. Mine does go away pretty easily when I put my feet up for a bit. We're almost there, thank goodness.

For me the worst is the tops of my feet, to the point where I finally gave in and accept Crocs as legitimate footwear. (Though, inconvenient on slushy winter days.) Swelling is so weird.

I feel like the odd one out who hasn't had hardly any swelling! Some days I do get mild swelling if I am wearing my work shoes and working all day, but it's pretty rare. I wonder if it's because my feet are so used to being in flip flops all the time, that they are just permanently swollen, and I've just gotten used to it?

Hahahaha I had the donut swelling with DS1. I think that it's normal, especially with certain types of movement. I've actually been paranoid about getting it this time because of that new bagel forehead fad (Google it if you have no idea what I'm talking about) and worrying that people will think that I'm doing that to my ankles while pregnant. Hehehehe
