Well milking myself really...
I'm getting really stressed as I approach my due date (friday) that she wont decide to come naturally and I will have to be induced on the 14th. I told my midwife how much it is stressing me out and she told me to hook up my breast pump to help bring on labor.

Midwife said to pump and stop when a contraction starts and as soon as contraction stops to start pumping again, anyone try this? any luck?

I'm going to start here when DH finds something to do, feels weird to have him sitting next to me while I do it lol. Hopefully we will have a baby tonight!!

Nipple stimulation can be very effective from what I hear! Can't say I haven't been tempted to break out my pump! Good luck!

I haven't personally tried it but I've heard it works. Just heard that you have to do it for a looong time. Like over an hour at a time...if not more! Let us know how it goes!

You could also have your dh do some of the stimulation for you...he might enjoy it! It doesn't have to be suction like the pump, just stimulation.

Well I had the pump on for like 45 min and it DEFINATELY gave me stronger contractions. I probably should have kept doing it. The contractions continued for a few hours but then slowly died off around 2am. Boo.

On a side note.. boy is that a weird feeling!!!

I've never heard if pumping to get labor going, but glad it seemed to do a little something for you!
