I am just curious what cloth diapers everyone is using and what kind of luck you have had with them.

I am sad to report things have not gone well with us with cloth diapers. I bought 30 Alva NB cloth diapers and they still don't fit Peyton very well and she is 8 weeks old and over 11 lbs. The issue is she has really skinny legs and the leg openings are still too big for her. We are constantly having wicking around the legs and blow outs. Plus I feel the diapers are pretty inconsistent on sizing. Some are more narrow through the legs than others.

She isn't able to wear any of the OS pockets I have yet either due to the same leg issue.

I'm still using prefolds and covers on z max. The os that I have are still too big for him. We're still working on nite time solutions for him because hes such a heavy wetter.

Do the legs have double gussets? I've heard os even newborn can be tricky because their legs tend to be so tiny. And I've also heard alva sizing is wonky. I've got 20 regular alva os in my stash, hopefully we don't have any issues with them when hes bigger!

It's harder when they still have such skinny legs. The only ones that fit Taylor's legs right now are some custom Alva newborns that have a 4th row of rise snaps so that they fit even smaller. And I don't have enough of those for full time, so we just use them when they are clean, and disposables other times.

The Alva nb's don't have double leg gussets and at this point I won't be buying anymore newborn diapers. I have close to 40 Alva 3.0 OS pocket diapers for when she gets bigger that I have used for my 2nd dd and they work fabulous once they are bigger.

I really wanted to do cloth on a NB, but it's just not working.

the alva sizing is a little weird. I have them on my 20month old and some diapers fit perfectly however some of the same batch are super tight or way too loose. today is the first time we have put the cloth diapers on felix and the alvas are a bit loose around the legs but the bumgenius work well

I've been using newborn green mountain prefolds with Thirsties covers on the smallest setting. They're working great! I also have used some of my homemade fitteds in there and I love them.

However the newborn isn't going to fit for too much longer... I need to find some bigger ones.

I'm using one size bumgenius, both the freetime and the 4.0 and they fit great and never leak! Love them!

I am using perfolds with Flip covers on the smallest size. We have been using these since the second week Maya was born. We have had a couple blow out but I think with any diaper you will. They work great and I would recomend them to anyone.

Now that I've gotten the hang of it I'm loving cding. It'll be even easier when I can get him into the os that i have!

I've had to buy a bunch of fitteds and small inserts for night time because my guy is an amazing pee-er!!
