So yesterday I had a 102 degree fever and horrible headache. I continued to bf through it since I had read that it is best to continue when sick so baby gets the antibodies. I didn't seem to be producing as much milk- which I read can happen while sick- so I had to supplement with formula (which I have done occasionally before). I drank lots of fluids to make sure I didn't get dehydrated. Today my supply is still not back up. I was trying not to supplement, but Clairre has been unhappy and wanting to eat constantly. When nursing she is getting somewhat aggressive and pulling on the nipple and won't settle and be content. I'm very frustrated. Has anyone had a similar situation? Does anyone have suggestions???

I was sick last week, barely able to eat or drink for a day. I just tried to drink as much water as I could keep down, and eat as much as I could the next day. I did notice a drop in supply, so I put Taylor to the breast more often, and after a couple days I seem to be back to normal production levels. I did have a cup of Mother's Milk tea also, no idea if that helped, but I like the taste
