How much expressed milk is your baby drinking while at daycare? How many ounces per bottle and how often?
This is my 2nd week back to work and I am honestly not sure what to think. Peyton has no qualms about taking the bottle. She just doesn't drink much from it or want it very often. She is only drinking about 5 ounces max all day while there at best. I drop her off at 7:45 am and pick her back up at 5:15 pm. She nurses right before going and right when we get back home. When I pick her up she doesn't act starving either.
This wouldn't concern me as much if she were up all night nursing but she isn't. She goes to bed around 9:30pm and gets up around 6:00 am and only wakes once during the night to eat.
She generally nurses nonstop from 6pm to 9 pm though while we are together.
She is having plenty of wet/soiled diapers per day and is gaining quickly. She had gained 4lbs within 6 weeks at her last appointment.
5oz of food in a 9 1/2 hour day seems way too little though for a baby that is all but sleeping through the night as well.
I dont go back to work for 2 more weeks but with DS1 while I was at work Leo would only eat once, 6oz, for DH the entire time I was gone (14hrs). He gained fine and had the appropriate output so I didnt worry. I did work nights though so its not quite the same situation as you
