If you're thinking of joining Sam's club, now is the time to do it through livingsocial (like groupon).

For $45 you get the $40 membership (good for 2 people in 1 household), a $20 Sam's gift card, and 3 vouchers for ~$20 in free food (specific things) from the club.

So, after factoring in the free stuff, you're basically paying $5 for a membership. Pretty good deal!

Be have both Costco and Sam's now. We've had Costco for a while, but DF works only about a mile or two down the road from Sam's now, and Costco is clear across town.

So, while we're happy with Costco, and we will keep both memberships at least until Costco runs out next year, Sam's is just more practical for us. Plus they sell a wider selection of certain things... but I'm sure that also works the other way around as well.

I used to have costco through my old job. I loved costco for their food selection, but I don't think they carry our formula and sams does.
