So 2 1/2 weeks ago, I went 4 hours w/o breastfeeding on one breast while shopping and got super engorged. I ended up getting a plugged duct from it and found a milk blister on my nipple (super ouch!). My one breast hasnt been the same since, it gets super engorged at night and is achey often. I'm pretty sure I don't have any plugged spots anymore but when it was plugged, I pumped and breastfed frequently to clear it and now I think it is overproducing milk. I can't stop it! Any suggestions or atleast anyone else go through this?

Cabbage leaves in the bra, just on that side? I think that's what I'd try, being careful not to overdo it.

I went through this with DS1. It is super uncomfortable when one breast gets so engorged. I didnt ever figure out anything to make it feel better. I hope something works for you!

I'm having issues where I can't sleep through the night. I end up waking my LO when she isn't ready to eat because I'll be so engorged it hurts up to my arm pits. I can usually get her to eat just enough from each side to be able to go back to sleep. I don't want to pump because if I overdo it, I'll produce even more!

However, my LO is at the 90% for her weight, so I don't want to make her eat too much! I can't believe it's my boobs keeping me awake and not her!

I know the answer is to pump/feed less for a few days until the body starts producing less... but it's so hard! Half the time, I'll leaking down my stomach when I'm trying to get her situated!
