So I wear Ember in the Moby, but its starting to getting warmer and she gets really hot up against my chest. I think she gets too hot and then wants out. I take her out for like 5 minutes to cool down and then put her back in. What do you do to keep baby cool when its warm out? Should I try a different hold? I use the newborn hug hold.

I don't have a real moby, just a wrap I made from fabric. For the warmer months I'll be buying a light weight fabric that breaths better.

I was doing the newborn hug hold but Marshall started seeming like he didn't fit well that way so I tried the Hug Hold today and loved it!

Here is the link for it - http://www.mobywrap.com/mw/hug-hold.htm

Yeah, I use the hug hold and the newborn hug hold, but it seems like Ember is a furnace! I'm going to try wearing a tshirt instead of a tank so we aren't skin to skin ( her face on my chest) to see if that is cooler. It was only 70 so it wasn't too warm, but Ember was all sweaty after about 30 minutes. Haven't had a problem before.

I had a July baby, and he was always diaper naked inside the wrap :-)
Keeping a layer of fabric between the two of you does help a lot. There's a reason you huddle together naked to keep from freezing to death.
And to those looking for a lighter wrap for summer, just a heads up- if the fabric is *too*lightweight, you run the risk of it digging into your skin painfully. I have a gauze wrap I never wear because it digs.
Sawyers_Mommy likes this.

Thanks for that tip about the gauze wrap! I was looking into getting one for the summer.

Any thoughts on the Ergo sport? Read its good for warmer climates. I do LOVE my Moby though!!

I've never tried the Ergo, actually, but I don't know anyone who hates them.
I'm hoping to get a Girasol wrap this summer. They're supposed to be a good balance between lightweight and comfy.
